Let's start with the positives, which are few: 1. The view from the balcony was of the green coniferous hills with the snow capped mountains in the background. That was the only redeeming factor for this property. Now the negatives/areas of improvement: 1. Location: The hotel is located on a slope which means each time I had to get to the main road (where all the restaurants and the market area are), I had to climb 125 steep steps. Since I was workationing from this place for a week, it meant having to climb 125 steps up/down 3 times daily. I cannot say I got used to it, simply because I didn't :) I clearly understand that the hotel cannot do anything about the location. It just means that if you have senior citizens or small children in your family, or you simply don't want to climb so many steps involuntarily on a daily basis, this hotel is really not an option for you. Customer Service: Except for the lovely chef at the restaurant (who took good care of us whenever we chose to have lunch and tea from the hotel), rest of the staff at the reception really couldn't care for the concept of customer service. Rooms weren't cleaned unless you categorically asked for it. Towels weren't changed unless you categorically asked for it. The water dispensers were filled often 12 hours after you had asked for it. So what do I want to convey: Given that the unique location of this hotel makes it not the most desired option for families with ageing parents, small children or members not in the best health condition, it is important for the hotel to improve the quality of their customer service so that they are able to attract the narrow target audience who is ok with this setup. Wishing them the best!
