we check in late due to our early trip to the death railway.
easy check in system, you just need to see the owner and can directly check in to the room. room is huge, bathroom is clean. has refrigerator too.
locationwise, walkable to the night market and to the Kanchanaburi train station. from Kanchanaburi train station you have to cross the road and walk a little bit deeper to the shops area and small alley.
however to go to the bus station, you might need to take grab because its about 2-3km distance.

Rustig gesitueerd, vlak bij uitgaansstraat. Vriendelijke eigenaren en fijne tuin. Leuke kat en mooie vissen in de tuin. Bij het Guesthouse zijn diverse trips te boeken, waaronder naar prachtige watervallen. Ook kan ontbijt besteld worden.
Tip: Goed vegetarisch/vegan restaurant op 5 minuten lopen.

Mooi klein Guesthouse, dichtbij de ere begraafplaats.
Tussen het busstation en de River Kwai bridge in.
Eigenaar was behulpzaam met Tours boeken, maar ivm de enorme regenval kon de tocht naar erawan niet doorgaan (park was gesloten)
Verder geen Tours geboekt bij Guesthouse.

A charming guesthouse not farm from the main train station in Kanchanaburi, and close to amenities such as restaurants, supermarkets and a tour agency. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and it was quiet and clean. We liked being a couple of kilometers away from the main tourist area (by the bridge over the river Kwai). We would happily return here.

I’m honestly surprised with these reviews. It’s quaint and has some Thai charm but that’s it. Perhaps it’s because it’s so quiet ? I had barely a welcome. I asked about booking a tour or driver and was met with confusion. Annoying because I had messaged them before my arrival about whether to book in advance or with them. I was shown to my room then reception closed up, which was after I realised I had no wifi information. I’m sure I was the only guest and put in the worst room at the back near the toilets, pans & cleaning stuff. It was dark and depressing and full of mosquitoes. It was hot, the fridge & air-con were off. There was no security as the windows didn’t lock but you couldn’t have them open either for light because of the mosquitoes. I persevered for an hour but still no one surfaced to discuss these issues, so I cut my losses and moved on.

This is a wonderful guest house amongst the hustle and bustle. Owners were lovely and helpful, making us feel most welcome within what felt like an extension of their home. Situated conveniently for the local amenities and the main tourist attractions of the area. The owners were also happy to arrange transport for us at short notice to Erewan Falls saving us time in a busy schedule. Unfortunately only had one night but when next visiting this area would stay again based on it being an excellent base to explore the area.
