The "Oka" hotel located on the bank of the Oka River. The hotel founded in 1960. The building related to federal monuments. St.Tikhon was one of the organisators of building. The first stone was placed in 1865. The building was part of the monastery and all complex was called Tikhonovo Podvorye including the territory of Culture and Leisure Park with St.Trinity Cathedral.

Давно хотели посмотреть Калугу. И вот, наконец, в начале апреля удалось добраться до этого города, который очень понравился: неспешный, немного провинциальный, но опрятный и симпатичный городок с обилием памятников и музеев. Жили мы в центре города, в гостинице «Ока». Она не из числа новых, но вполне приличная и по стоимости бюджетная. Номера, конечно, с «привкусом» эпохи СССР, но на пару ночей – пойдёт. Персонал доброжелательный, есть кафе на цокольном этаже. Расположена «Ока» очень удачно: главная площадь города, Гостиный двор, Центральный парк и Троицкий собор – в пешей доступности, до музея космонавтики можно доехать на троллейбусе. С учётом демократичной цены размещения придираться по мелочам смысла не вижу. Всем здоровья и интересных путешествий по России!

Помню эту гостиницу еще по школьным временам: приезжали на шахматные турниры. Обедали рядом в кафе - было шикарно! Приехали снова через много лет: почти не изменилась((((( Те же номера, не очень уютно, но чисто! Окна номера выходили во двор, ощущение так себе( Заселили бысто, за это спасибо!
