"We stayed here for 3 nights following some time in Athens just to rest and then pick up a car for our Peloponnese tour. Hotel is exceptional value for money. Our room although small had everything we needed, comfortable bed, air con, fridge, in room safe, TV and a furnished balcony with a good view towards the distant mountains. Bathroom was again compact however had a good shower, fluffy towels and expel air. The roof top pool area was a great. When we were there early June we were the only guests using it so it felt very private. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was fine, enough choices and fresh orange juice. Hotel is quite funky and modern. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Receptionist/breakfast server gets special praise due to her enthusiasm. English is spoken.There is parking next to the hotel Hotel is located on a busyish road however the double glazing means the room is quiet at night. Its about a 5 minute walk to the marina/beach area where there are many bars,cafes and restaurants. Its a 5 minute walk to a large super market and about 20/25 minutes walk into Kalamata old town which we found quite buzzy and great to spend an afternoon /evening wondering and eating/drinking. We enjoyed our stay here for its location, roof top pool and great staff and would without question stay here again."

Belvedere Hotel

"Extremely disappointing experience with Belvedere Hotel in Kalamata. We had arranged to host a baby shower for a very close friend and confirmed the venue, date, and number of guests by phone. To avoid any misunderstandings, my wife specifically asked for written confirmation, and she was assured everything had been "noted." It had not. On the day of the event, when she called to coordinate the decoration timing, the person in charge first said she thought the booking was for a different day, which made clear that no proper record had been kept. She then told us we could not use the outdoor area because of a possible chance of rain, even though the forecast showed only 10 percent. It did not rain at all. She refused to offer an indoor alternative, claiming the available space was "too large" for our group, and instead suggested we move the event to the next day simply because that suited the hotel's availability. This ignored that everything was already organized and that several guests were traveling from other areas to attend. When we raised this, we were told that written confirmations are only provided for "large events" and that in our case she was doing us "a favor." We never asked for a favor. We expected basic professionalism and proper coordination, and the hotel delivered neither. No accountability, no attempt at a solution, and no apology. For context, we live in the Netherlands. I had genuinely been pleased to find this hotel, because part of my work involves conferences and industry events, and the region looked like somewhere I might consider hosting them. After watching a confirmed gathering of 20 people fall apart, I would never consider it for anything larger or more important. In the end we were fortunate. A higher category hotel on the seafront accommodated us at short notice, on noticeably better and more affordable terms than what we had agreed here. That contrast tells you everything. Based on this experience, I would not trust this hotel with any kind of reservation."

"We entered the room and it smells bad, obviously from the time it had to be aired out. We found hair and false eyelashes on the sheets, and black prints on the blanket, we asked for a change and it never happened, we asked for towels and they gave them to us with force, saying that there were no more. There is mold everywhere, the ceiling of the corridor is torn and has mold and that, the staff is very rude, we asked politely to change at least the blanket and they got angry especially when we asked for new towels, they still didn't give us, they said that in other hotels that changed ours, they spoiled us. Finally, the toilet is yellow and the rooms are not cleaned properly, they just make our bed."

"Location is perfectly located walking distance to all shops and restaurants along ocean side. Staff is very friendly and courteous. The restaurant up stairs is absolutely stunning with the views of ocean. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Belo hotel central Na Estrada de Kalamata. Muito amigável Pessoal no check-in. Muito limpo e funcional, ONDE você só TEM que atravessar a estrada para chegar à praia. Só aqui por UMA noite, um BOM quarto Ao Lado com um balcão com vista para a praia e a baía.Não é a sala Mais espaçosa que EU tenho estado, MAS é adequada para UMA estadia curta.O pequeno-almoço FOI funcional Como parece ser na Grécia. Não há parque de carros, MAS não há restrições de estacionamento nas estradas que rodeiam a propriedade e não tive problema de encontrar um parque de estacionamento perto do hotel."
