In the evening, street vendors filled up the areas surrounding the hotel and you will be spoil for choice of food. Reception is very polite and warm, and allowed us to have a 2 hours late checkout before our flight. We were also given a small memento of chrysanthemum tea and peanuts at check out."

There are many soup dumpling restaurants nearby, and you absolutely must try soup dumplings when you visit Kaifeng. The hotel's mattress was excellent and comfortable; I even specifically asked at check-out where to buy one. The front desk staff enthusiastically introduced me to a mini-program where I could find more information, which I'll look into when I get back. This time, I booked a room with two 1.5-meter double beds, which made it a bit pricier."

No. 9 of 4-Star Select Hotels in Kaifeng"Staying at this hotel was like going from hell to heaven. When we first arrived, the street leading to the hotel was a complete letdown. It was a narrow, congested alleyway. But then we discovered that just 100 meters ahead, Gulou Street was a completely different scene. Getting up to the hotel lobby on the fourth floor felt like stepping into an international five-star hotel. It turns out the hotel occupies the entire fourth floor of a shopping mall, with a huge lobby and spacious common areas. The design and decor are very distinctive. The dining room, bar, free-to-use computers, and arcade machines are all within this large common area. The hotel room itself had a window overlooking Xiangguo Temple, and the space was very well utilized. There was complimentary soda available, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. As it's a new hotel, everything was extremely clean and hygienic. The bed was super comfortable, and there were plenty of outlets, including USB charging ports. The room rate was affordable, and there were many perks. They offered free late-night congee, complimentary drinks, and even a free cocktail. There was also a little surprise in the room to exchange for a small gift. They have a laundry room and a gym. The breakfast area was comfortable, and the food was delicious and plentiful. Most importantly, all the front desk staff, from check-in to check-out, were customer-focused and provided excellent service. They even gave us a souvenir when we left. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kaifeng."
