I travel a lot for work and have about 180 travel days per year. It's been a long time since I was so disappointed with an accommodation. I didn't have high expectations, but I was still disappointed.
The room smelled of moist (maybe mold?), it was dusty, the drain in the shower was probably clogged so the water wouldn't go down, and the floor felt slippery and slimy in the shower.
The restaurant stands out for the worst service I've experienced. We were a group of 8. Four of us were done with dessert just as the starters arrived for the other 4. When it did arrive, the meat was tough and not very tasty, and it didn't improve that they couldn't provide us with the right knife.
The combination of dirtiness and poor service has resulted in me never staying at that chain again for personal stays. Professionally, we've now removed them from our travel agency's "preferred providers" list.
