The hotel is extremely dated and old fashioned. Overall the room was clean but facilities such as TV only had local mandarin channels. Curtains were not very clean and they hover just above the pillows. The fridge I could not leave running in the room as the motor sound was too loud. The walls are also thin and I listened to an occupant next door snore all night. Carpets were well worn and not particularly clean. The views over the harbour are lovely at a distance but the general area is unkept and in disrepair. A walk around the local area it stinks of boat fuel, it’s not somewhere you could sit or relax. The hotel is situated right on an extremely busy road and it has constant traffic 24/7. The state of the windows does not block out the noise which is constant. If you’re not used to traffic noise then don’t opt to stay here. Next door is a handy 24/7 small supermarket and there are a couple of noodle and fish restaurants nearby but it’s limited and it’s very local food only. Most tourist attractions are a min half hour walk either way or you can get the bus, there is nothing at this hotel point other than the harbour area which only seems to offer pre booked boat tours and a kids toy and kite hire. As a stop over or on a budget the hotel is ok but there are other options with better and more modern facilities not too far away in Badouzi but obviously higher rates. Staff are friendly but most do not speak any English at all and I was not aware of any food or bar facilities in the hotel. If you want to leave luggage it is tagged and left in the foyer which is not ideal. It just appears to be a tiered old 10-11 story building with 3 rooms on each floor. Despite nice staff I would not stay at this hotel again.
