This is by far the worst Marriott property I’ve ever stayed at. I have been in this apartment for three days, with two nights still remaining until check-out, and I cannot wait to leave this awful place. To begin with, check-in is handled at a neighboring hotel, La Renaissance, which in itself wasn’t an issue. The problem was how slow and disorganized the process was. There was only one person at the reception, and he was busy addressing another guest’s issue. We waited for an extended period until another staff member finally arrived to assist us. The biggest issue, however, has been the complete lack of housekeeping. On the first day, I was shocked to find that the beds were not made, towels weren’t changed, and the room wasn’t refreshed at all. I assumed they were simply busy and decided to overlook it. Unfortunately, the same thing happened on the second day. I called the reception, which, ridiculously , is also located at the neighboring La Renaissance hotel. I asked why no housekeeping had been done despite my booking conditions explicitly stating that stays longer than three nights qualify for free housekeeping services. The receptionist informed me that we should book housekeeping and no service is available on Sundays. He assured me that a housekeeping service would be scheduled for the next morning. Yet again, we returned late from our daily trip to find the room untouched. When I called the reception to complain, I requested to speak with the duty manager, only to be told that there was no duty manager available and that I could only speak to him after 10:30 a.m. the next morning. How can a Marriott property not have a night-shift duty manager? The only resolution they offered was to send us some coffee, tea, towels, and, unbelievably, a plastic bag to gather our own trash. Is this what Marriott considers acceptable service? As a frequent traveler who has stayed at Marriott properties in many cities worldwide, I can confidently say that this experience is unparalleled in its lack of quality and professionalism. Today is Sunday—let’s see if they finally clean the room or if we’ll spend a fourth night without housekeeping. I will update this review once I return.
