The Grayhaven Motel

Five star experience. Everything from booking to check in, and check out, staff was extremely courteous room was very clean, and a really great local experience! My first visit to the area was over-the-top! Thank you so much for the hospitality and thank you for being awesome!

This was a long planned trip for 3 friends celebrating a milestone birthday. We loved the authentic vintage feel of the place. Very helpful and friendly staff. Delicious coffee and comfy rooms. Loved the outdoor fire pits and some rooms had a nice portable record player and a variety of vintage records to play. As an avid birder the marshland, forests and well kept trails out back were a real treat! Highly recommend.

Really didn't know what to expect when I booked the 1964 Shasta compact camper for 4 nights. I just wanted to experience something unique & different. My stay exceeded my expectations. I fell asleep to the comforting sound of rain on the roof & the gentle cooling breeze of a rechargeable fan. Room 6, that accompanies the camper, has a nice shower, sink, toilet, couch & end table, with plenty of room to store my stuff & power to charge my phone in air-conditioned comfort. The Grayhaven staff are friendly, eager to be of assistance, & easy to talk to. Complimentary breakfast items included delicious yogurt & granola, juice, oatmeal, peanut butter, apples, coffee & tea. Trays are provided for transport to your room. Upon arrival I found fire starter, wood & a s'mores kit waiting for me! The grounds are well kept & adorned with beautiful flowers that were in bloom. There are nice areas to sit in the fresh air & in the main house where the office is. Grayhaven has a very convenient location---you're minutes from all Ithaca has to offer. I hope to return to Grayhaven Motel in the future.

Five stars the whole time we were there. Staff was friendly courteous kind professional answered all my questions. Had great knowledge of the area recommended some great locations. Room was modern and clean. Firework and s'mores will a nice touch will be back with friends

Excited from the minute we arrived. Owner & staff where so friendly. The grounds & cottage were immaculate. You could see these people were really concerned about our stay being as enjoyable as possible. On checkout; the owner addressed me by name. Never had that experience before, even at hotels that were rated 4 star properties.

This place is a gem. It is an old-style resort-type motel. The landscape is stunningly beautiful, and complemented by a soundscape of birds chirping - even the sound from cars traveling by comes through as just a gentle wind-like whoosh. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our rooms were nicely appointed and clean. It was a perfect soul-calming way to end our vacation en route from Toronto back to DC.
