This hotel is in a fabulous position- ideal for seeing major sites on foot. It has a roof terrace with great view but it was not functional on our visit. The staff are lovely and the breakfast is excellent. Less enthusiastic about the bedrooms. The WiFi is truly terrible. I had only one accessible charger point - obviously not a problem if that isn’t an issue. The shower head was effectively taped to the wall. Day 2 it flew off its mooring, nearly decapitated me and flooded the bathroom - the water pressure is high. The curtain fell off day 2 and I left it to be rehung - 3 days later it was untouched. And finally the bed - though very comfortable - was not properly remade each day so had to do it myself. Rather disappointing.

Excellent position short uphill walk to all the Sultanahmet sites (blue mosque, artisans bizarre, aya Sofia, hippodrome, cistern & archaeology museum). The rooftop bar was closed but provided great views. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. When we asked for pancakes at breakfast, there weren’t any, but the next morning they were there! The hotel was clean with lovely mosaics and old stone work. I could faintly hear the call to prayer at 5am, but with some many mosques around that’s not surprising.

This hotel is best described as classic. Aging a little but no less clean, comfortable and affordable. We had a lovely greeting from the evening receptionist who gave us lots of information about the area and the hotel. Unfortunately I did not get his name but he is a real asset to the hotel. The reception area is full of artefacts that were discovered when the hotel was built in the late 90s including a fine mosaic and are exhibited in the same areas that they were found. Our room on the second floor was adequately furnished and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable. The air con was not very cold but it did the job at keeping the room at a comfortable temperature during 30 degree days and stuffy nights. The fridge in the room was very cold and a real bonus for keeping drink cool. The bathroom, again a little old fashioned, was clean and equipped with everything you need including a powerful shower with lots of hot water. The room was cleaned and made up daily to a high standard. Breakfast on the roof terrace with views of the blue mosque was memorable. The service was good and there was a fair selection of breakfast items including fruit, cheese, eggs and bread. Tea and coffee refills were offered frequently. The hotel seemed very quiet when we were there with only three tables laid ip for breakfast, we only saw a few other guests during our stay. Overall this is a lovely, relaxed and brilliantly situated hotel that will meet all your needs when in Istanbul.

Lovely hotel, perfectly located in the center of Istanbul, but still in a quiet street. The staff at the reception, breakfast restaurant and housekeeping were highly professional and friendly. Our room was maintained on daily basis, kept clean, water refilled regularly. One thing we were missing in the room - more electrical plugs for charging the phones. Breakfast was good and fair enough, though not various choices. We would like to see more local items there like bjurek or baklava. Overall, wonderful experience. We highly recommend Eresin Hotel Sultanhamet and would be glad to come back and stay there again!

Very clean, very friendly staff, very good roof terrace, very near Blue Mosque, very good breakfast. Very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very very, very, very, very, very, very, very, annoying that you have to put 200 characters in review.

Very good location and strong walking distance of main tourist sites very nice staff that went above and beyond to be helpful The rooms were nicely appointed and classy. Minor suggestions 1. to have plugs at bedside table height for ease of charging devices. 2. Have multiple outlets for desk and bedside outlets

Charming hotel, staff very warm and welcoming. Clean and tidy with museum grade pieces from 4-6 BC and AD in hotel foyer!! Bedrooms bit dated but extremely clean and comfortable for a short stay. Situated on a busy street on a hill. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby open til late. Excellent position close to all the top sites.

A lovely and charming old school hotel with excellent and attentive service, cant be beat location and just right breakfast. Our night manager sentus to two VERY good restaurants with amazing views of the city and super food, that we would never have found otherwise. Tiny drawbacks are spotty but adequate wifi and a lack of power outlets but otherwise 5 stars .
