Upon our arrival, Fatih (the daytime receptionist) was very approachable and our first day of Istanbul. Unfortunately, from day two and onwards, we had to keep on asking him for toiletries, clean towels and room cleaning daily. When asked, he would make promises but in the end we had to go downstairs and collect the toiletries and fresh towels ourselves (and again the room wasn't cleaned). On day three, water was cut off for 12 hours and we couldn't use the toilets because we couldn't flush it nor could we shower due to this situation. This wasted alot of time as we had planned our day. When questioned, the hotels excuse was that Istanbul Municipal Department had turned the water off in the area. However, when I enquired with other hotels they had water supplies and tanks as a back up which this hotel should consider doing. It was only on day four when I complained to Agoda, things changed for the better. Since then, the room was cleaned daily, fresh towels were provided and toiletries were given. However, since the complain, Faith stopped talking to us (not acknowledging us) which was not very professional whereas the night shift staff (named Abdul) showed professionalism by continuing to greet us and making an effort to talk to us. Breakfast was very basic and was in the reception area which was quite uncomfortable. On the positive, the location was excellent which was close to many attractions.
