Sadly I only stayed in this elegant hotel for one night on my return home from an extended month in Europe. It is comfortable and very well located. My only quibble is the view from my balcony was not exactly beautiful as I stared straight into the ramshackle roof of a neighbourly building. The bar on the top floor is a must with a gorgeous view of the vibrant Bosporus. What really makes this place special is the warmth and sincerity of the staff. Rarely do I highlight individuals but Valeria on the front desk is a rich asset. She is friendly and hospitable to all and makes everyone feel welcome. So five stars for the hotel and six for Valeria!

I would say all the price is for the location near sultanahmet & the tram station nearby. The property looks outdated and the rooms are not so well kept or equipped. Actual rooms differ from the what are shown during the booking process. The hotel have got centralised air conditioned system managed by the hotel management. During our visit we had to ask them to provide us with a fan as the room was super hot and suffocating due to central heating. The bathroom was clean but the sink was small and had drainage issues. Beds were comfortable and the linen were clean. Room service need to be a little pro active as I asked to be provided 2 water bottles to keep my fast which were never provided. I don’t think I’d chose to stay there again for the price provided.

Even before we arrived, the Orientbank Hotel was providing great service. I emailed with hotel staff in advance of our trip to arrange car service from the airport, and they were very helpful. Once we arrived, late at night after two long flights, we were greeted at the hotel with such warmth and care. While checking in, I mentioned that we were tired and hungry, as our second flight hadn't served any dinner, and the front desk team put together a bag of sandwiches and snacks for us to take with us to our room. It was such a kind gesture and totally indicative of the quality of service at this hotel. Everytime we came and went, the lobby team asked us how we were and if there was anything we needed. Doors were held open with a smile. I asked for advice on using a kiosk to buy an Istanbulkart, since we wanted to make the most of public transit, and the front desk staff walked me through the process in detail. Everyone here was just so very nice, in a way that felt genuine and lovely. Huge thanks to all of the staff at Orientbank Hotel -- you are all amazing! Our room was on the fourth floor and was generously sized and nicely decorated. Water was provided in the room, which I always appreciate. We were perfectly comfortable and slept very well. In the mornings, we took advantage of the amazing hotel breakfast. The Turkish Breakfast comes with an incredible amount of food, but it was all delicious and offered such a great array of choices. It felt really indulgent and special. We also had dinner at the hotel on our last night there, and it was delicious. Don't miss going up to the rooftop. The view is spectacular. I loved that this hotel was so convenient to every place we wanted to go. It's right around the corner from the Egyptian Market, and just beyond that you can get the tram or the ferry anywhere in Istanbul. We were so glad we chose this hotel, and it made our stay in Istanbul even more memorable. If returning to Istanbul, I would definitely stay here again.

Well, what can I say? This is an absolutely amazing hotel! From the moment we arrived we were transported back in time to an Agatha Christie novel! Such is the opulence of this amazing hotel. Situated in a lively street, not far from the very heart of this wonderful city, surrounded by architectural and historical delights – this hotel cannot fail to engender a feeling of opulence when one arrives at the portico. Entering this magnificent facade one is greeted by amazing staff members – all of whom are very knowledgeable in the history of the city and also very polite and helpful. Everyone spoke perfect English. The rooms are both interesting and comfortable. Ours had a very high ceiling with a plethora of architectural detail. The bed was extremely comfortable! The breakfast was absolutely stupendous – silver service attentiveness at every turn. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough! If you are coming to Istanbul then this is the place to be. There is just one downside – the spiral staircase that transports guess to the elevated plateau above the chandelier lit dining area isn’t really suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Other than that enjoy.

Key points, key points: His family can call you the nucleic acid test personnel to the room for nucleic acid test. I enjoyed staying in this hotel. Pluses: - comfortable big rooms; - perfect location - next to Istiklal famous street and Taksim square is just 10 minutes walk; a lot of restaurants, shops around; 5 minutes walk to Galata tower; - very good service; - ok breakfast (selection could be better) - but service is amazing. Attentive and fast. Special thanks to Eren - surprised with very good service. Please keep him. - 18th floor have amazing restaurant with city view; - ok small gym; - nice outdoor pool. Minuses: - amenties sometimes have some issues - like windows lockers, lights. Before rooms are given to clients - would recommend to check. In general would recommend and i would be back.

I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

Location of hotel is really really good, it is within the walking distance to GALATA Tower, Beyoglu street, Topkapi Palace, Sultanahmet Mosque, Misir Carshisi. Moreover, for shopping there are many souvenir shops and brand magazines, lots of restaurants nearby. The rooms have great view of Sea, the only cons is that rooms are minimal sized.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mest Hotel and it was a fantastic location too. Our room was super clean and spacious too. The cleaner was such a lovely individual whom we thank a lot for their fantastic housekeeping. The staff were very attentive and so helpful whenever we needed anything. Particularly, we would like to thank Samed, Yunus, Sumeyye and the Technical personnel for making our stay very memorable. Also, a special thank you to Fatih for his guest relations and for giving us some great advice on navigating the city. Whenever we requested anything from reception, it was provided very quickly. The breakfast was brilliant, so much variety and the quality of the food was delicious and we had some breathtaking views of the Yeni Mosque in the mornings. The location itself was excellent, the hotel is tucked within a busy area of markets and bustle but no noise would come into the room. The hotel is also within walking distance of Sultanahmet, however, the hotel location itself had great shopping and dining options too. There were also bus and tram links nearby but I would recommend walking as much as you can to experience the city. I would HIGHLY recommend his hotel for anyone who is a first time visitor or like us who have come a few times. Very much looking forward to coming again and thank you to all the wonderful staff that made our stay so pleasant!

We are on the border with the overpriced hostel here. Certainly the place is well located for visiting Istanbul. The staff is nice and smiling but often quite confused. The room, rudimentary, is clean. What remains of the mattress is very uncomfortable unless you like to sleep on the very hard one. The reservation sites mention that it is a non-smoking hotel. It's wrong. The smell of cigarettes is common in the building and the room. When this is mentioned, the staff tells you that it is normal and that it is allowed in the establishment. We'll have to deal with it. The room will only have been cleaned once in 4 days, like in a hostel. - It is also not very soundproof. We quickly get to know the first names and habits of the family of four who live one floor above. Oh yes, please note that if you take the “with breakfast” option, this breakfast is not served in the establishment. You have to go get it at a small counter two blocks away, there is only one (1) choice (correct but redundant by the 4th morning) and you have to pay if you want a coffee. It is not understood. Advice to the establishment: take more time to resolve these issues repeatedly highlighted in previous comments than to respond here with something tasteless and preformatted. Advice to travelers: move on, Istanbul has better and less tasteless things to offer for the same price as this establishment.

Initially, we thought that we might not get accepted on the flight due to the government restrictions, but we got lucky as we had made booking way before. I had booked and cancelled a couple of hotels on booking.com, as I was not sure of the hotel's look and feel. I usually don't go on positive reviews (Ironic, because I'm writing one he he...) So we left at the IST airport somewhere about 09:00 PM, finding a taxi was easy(but taxies can be expensive, ask your Taxi to run on the meter), the temperature was about 2 deg Celsius, after leaving the warmth of Bangalore at about 28 deg celsius, this was pretty cold. We reached the hotel, warm welcome at the front desk with Turkish tea, we were shown our room before checking in. Went to the room and crashed for the night. Woke up at about 6:00 am did my prayers and woke up my family, to breakfast (7:00 am to 10:00 am) The restaurant was on the 5th Floor, they were already serving when we entered. Breakfast buffet; we were handed cheese and jam plates as we entered, and then extra plates for the rest of the buffet, they were serving the buffet as a part of COVID preventive measure(nice!) Left for our first tour to the Hagia Sophia (short 20 min. walk), only later did we find that there was a tram to this place. The walk was worthwhile(awesome actually), you get to see the architecture of the old streets with no sand in sight, all covered with stones and made to last all these years like you've entered an old sherlock holmes movie. The lighting and small shops all along the way, where your family stops to pick up little souvenirs. Finally, we get to see the grand Hagia Sophia with all it's historic glory still standing strong after seeing all these centuries of battles and wars, I wonder what those walls have witnessed... moving on to the blue mosque (too bad it was getting a makeover) we could not get to see the design and domes from the inside as they were all covered with construction planks. On to the Grand Bazaar... careful here... you may want to bargain a lot here before you can get a good deal, don't fall for the first price. and then we visited many other places in the coming days and headed back home. It’s a tiny old hotel with an even smaller lift. The rooms whilst they look clean at first chance you will notice some issues like I cleaned vents, dirty toothpicks (which you didn’t use), uncleared cups, etc. There is a notice to say that water cannot be dropped on the bathroom floors. Don’t bother taking any taxi or attractions package at the reception. There are far cheaper options outside. Breakfast sucks - whilst breakfast is served until 10:30 don’t expect anything good left after 9:30 and they don’t refill. They also start clearing up by 10:00 am. Check the vegetables and fruits before eating as some could be rotten. Most of the leftovers of the previous day are served. Not a lot of choice in the servings. Scrambled egg is served daily - some days with no salt and some with too much. Not to forget that no one at the restaurant speaks English. Drinking water is not provided so this is something you will have to get yourself. Make sure you carry a mosquito repellent as there are lots of mosquitoes in all areas of the hotel. All said the reception staff are very kind and courteous. Better to get a higher floor so you can avoid the noisy street. The best part is it is not too noisy in the evening.

Hotel at the embankment. The most noisy center of life. So noise, gam, trams, requests will be with you. Sleep in the beer. Room with 2 beds. The first thing we met at the entrance to the room is the smell of the sewer. As we were explained, it is the smell that pulls from Bosphorus. However, at the closed door to the bathroom, the portal to Bosphorus closed;). The room was actually not cleaned, only removed the garbage, once in 6 days changed the sheets and the wool. The towels changed every day, which is good, so they didn't dry. Towels are old, not ripped, for what thanks). The rooms are very tired, you can see that they did partial renovation, but the feeling of dirt and inconvenience did not leave. Mirrors and cuffs do not rubbish. Allergy to dust began and passed as soon as they left the room. Every day we put 2 bottles of water, which is good. The refrigerator worked badly, we needed to turn up, but we didn't care. The soul gel we spent on the first day and no more we added it, although we turned to the respiratory. I can't defamate the respiratory, Everyone was quite nice and smiley, but we didn't make any special claims. When we got a sink because of the fallen cap, we were quickly sent a plumber. The hotel was rented for $500 a week, it was so much and it was worth. It is not more expensive. Attention to tourists from Russia: on Ostrovok.Ru is declared as 4 stars, but the stars do not have exactly according to Travelocity and Booking, with which I fully agree. From a good view to Bosphorus, close to the bridge, nice workers, many tours are offered, Deliverable breakfasts (it is necessary about 8), chic (but dirty) panoramic windows, in which it is pleasant to watch the boiling urban life.
