We booked a suite (with kitchenette, fridge and washing machine) that was really big. Even a small garden. We booked half board, meaning a good breakfast and a daily diner. The diner was in buffet, with some show cooking, really good. Fresh fish, seafood, nice deserts. There are 2 things that need to improve: Staff needs to make a bit of effort to talk a bit English, French or German. An example that worked on my nerves: The chief of the staff cleaning up the tables, passed all tables with people speaking Italian to wish them a nice evening, people like us who don't speak Italian, didn't see her passing by. Secondly, about the room, nice, no issues at all, but there are 2 terraces, please put a comfortable deck chair on the terras. For the rest, the swimming pool is fabulous, not too crowded but again, the lifesaver accepted people drinking in real glasses since she couldn't explain in English that this is dangerous. Summarized: Great hotel, nice room, nice pool, good kitchen, great beach with reserved deckchairs, all perfect but please please try to get the staff speaking a bit better English or German, French. I don't wanne discuss how the staff is wearing the mouth masks, the fact that the Venice area became orange now tells you enough. Luckily I understand the way of living, I like the Italian flair, I know it's not easy to find people with language skills and YES, I like the hotel, the environment, the quiet island and we had a great holiday in these bad Covid times.
