Love this place. Hate to give it a great review because it might become more popular! But the rooms are comfortable and the whole area is beautiful. Great location.

We checked out of the property after one night due to a couple of challenges: There was a lingering sewer smell that we've not experienced before and we've been regular visitors for a number of years. The door lock on our unit was not something that I could operate independently but my handy husband had the knack. (The door had been tampered with and there were a number of 'repairs' so it appeared to have been a known issue.) And the pool was cloudy and uninviting. We were celebrating a special event so we made the decision to move to a place that we were more comfortable despite the double expense. I think our experience may have been seasonal so read more reviews before you make a decision!

The Na Balam was Awesome!!!! My Wife and I had such a relaxing time. The staff was laid back and offered information and supported our overall stay.

The hotel is situated with in walkable distance to Playa Norte and another plus is the access to the beach club there ( food is expensive but you are in the most beautiful beach in Mexico )
The Hotel is convenient and affordable but needs to work on a few things to get 4 to 5 stars like their rocking hard beds , the TV in the rooms are super old and only offer about 9 Chanel’s ( when you travel with kids you want to have more options specially at night ). The bathroom water pressure,,furniture in the rooms is old .
This hotel has a lot of potential if they work on some of this things the Staff was Great and the cleanliness was amazing . I will always come back if are any improvements.

Our room was very nice and location was good for beach access. Downside was the volume of people on the island and the incessant loud music by beach clubs late into the night.

Pro: Nice garden. The most friendly staff, liked them very much. Big rooms. Close to the most beautifuld beach on the island.
Cons: Breakfast very limited, was great the first morning, but got very tired of it there on from. The pool was VERY cold, maybe because it is in the shadow. The warm pool was closed during our stay. The room has a moist smell. Very old looking room that didn’t look like the pictures.

I liked the buildings with grass or thatched roofs. A lot of vegetation all around. The banyan tree was a bonus.
