I recently returned from an overall lovely stay at Le Querce. I had never visited Ischia before, and I absolutely loved it. Charming, quiet and peaceful...without the hordes of tourists. The hotel itself was very nice and clean, with a couple minor issues here and there. Like other folks have said too, it could use a bit of updating. The restaurant was wonderful, with a variety of options, plus they feature - of course - the local wine from Cenatiempo which was very good. Couple things to note: -The hotel is located in a quiet spot, about a 20-minute walk from town. The walk down has beautiful views (see photo), but note that the walk up could be more difficult for some folks. The hotel offers a free shuttle, but it may not always run the times you need it. Otherwise, it's 15 euros either way. -The hotel has a thermal outdoor pool which is very nice. It was warm outside and, at first, I kind of missed getting into a cold pool - but it really was relaxing. -It wasn't necessarily worth walking down - or up - the very steep stairs to the beach from the hotel. I did it once just to see, and didn't need to do it again. More beautiful beaches elsewhere. -The hotel can arrange a three-hour private tour of the island for 100 euros. Totally worth it. There are other hotels in town as well, but if you're looking for an even more quiet spot Le Querce is a nice option. Kind staff as well.
