Yialos Ios Hotel

A family run hotel with a very friendly environment. We stayed there and loved this hotel. Location was perfect and close to chora (stairways away). Rooms are well designed in a modern way. Definitely recommended 🙏🏻

What a beautiful boutique hotel run by a lovely family... the destination was perfect for us as two girlfriends. Very chilled, ambient and restful with a beautiful pool. Unfortunately I didn't get time to see the other rooms but will definitely be coming back with husband. Donni, Demetri, Sofia and Flora were super lovely. Breakfast was delicious as were the pool snacks we had.....10/10 ❣️ Ios is absolutely beautiful at this time of year, fairly quiet and a few places closing for the season but temperatures ideal.

Family run hotel, had the best time. Great location, brilliant breakfast, wonderful atmosphere, lovely lovely hotel. Very clean. Can’t believe it’s only 3 star, felt like 4 star plus. Lots of lovely restaurants, beaches and a lovely town all nearby.

We have just returned from a 12 night stay at this amazing family run hotel. You would have to go a long way to beat this place. I know some of the reviews said about wanting tea / coffee facilities in the room which is not a bad idea. So having read this, we took our own travel kettle which was just the job. The breakfast is what you get in most Greek hotels and you won't go hungry. Dimitris and his whole family could not be more friendly or helpful and if we go back to Ios we will be returning here for sure. The swimming pool area is gorgeous with plenty of comfortable sun beds. There are restaurants and bars nearby or a short bus ride takes you into Chora, the buses run every 30 minutes with a nearby bus stop (approx 300 metres from the hotel ). In summary I cannot say enough good things about this hotel

Arrived for a wedding on this beautiful island . Friends booked this for us and we couldn’t have been more happier ! The accommodation is beautiful, stunning sun areas central location and amazing staff . I couldn’t rate this hotel anymore it’s definitely not a 3 star it’s up in the 4 star area . Will definitely be coming bk thank you all for making my trip to iOS so amazing one from the Mr and mrs Gregg xxxx

We have just returned from yet again a lovely weeks holiday at this amazing family run hotel. You would go a long way to not relax at this place. I know some of the reviews would like coffee facilities in the room which is not a bad idea. The breakfast is what you get in most Greek hotels and you wouldn't go hungry, the little honey pancakes are the best. Dimitris and his whole family are a joy to know and we will be returning for sure. There are restaurants and bars nearby or a short bus ride up to the town is every 15 minutes with a nearby bus stop. There are steps to walk back down to the port which are no problem.

We loved this place. The whole vibe is friendly, chilled, and peaceful. The pool area with the bar and various comfy seating is stunning, while the staff are lovely and very helpful. The pool never feels too busy which adds to the laid back yet unpretentious vibe. The Traditional Studio was beautiful; the decor and overall style are spot on. Just a few minutes walk and you’re on the calm, lovely Yialos beach, with its cute eateries and cafes, and the port where the boat came in from Athens was just a few minutes further on foot. Highly recommended, we’d love to come back.

We stayed at Yialos for 13 nights, we loved our stay. The family are absolutely wonderful and are so kind and thoughtful! The pool area is absolutely gorgeous and lots of sun loungers which were comfortable! The towel service is great! We changed our towels every couple of days! Our room was neat & clean and a fair size for a couple, the only thing is there was no natural light unless the door was open, which meant it was very bright when we open the door in the morning. Apart from that, everything was perfect! We miss our chocolate milkshakes and strawberry daiquiris!x

This was my fourth time visiting Ios, but my first time staying close to the port as I couldn't get anywhere on Mylopotas beach. I knew Yialos Ios was in a great location, having walked past it on previous trips - just 5 minutes from the port and Gialos beach. Despite its central location, the hotel is quiet and feels like an oasis of calm with a lovely spacious pool area, plenty of sunbeds and room to relax. The staff are very friendly and always available, whether to make a drink at the bar, provide towels for the pool or answer any questions about the island. The walk up to Chora is steep, but not unpleasant unless you attempt it in the middle of the day. Otherwise, be prepared for a sweaty 15 minutes of hard cardio. There is a bus stop just opposite the hotel, though, and it's only €1.60 to ride up to Chora (or the same price to continue to Mylopotas). Overall, I had an enjoyable stay. However, for feedback, there were things I found a bit frustrating and could definitely be improved to justify a 5* review. Firstly, the air-conditioning in my room (39) was weak, even on full blast. The unit being situated above the door also meant that the air did not blow over the bed, so you didn't feel the benefit of it when sleeping. Secondly, the breakfast selection, while typical of a Greek hotel, was not quite of the quality I was expecting based on the rest of the hotel - the coffee machine made very average coffee; the orange 'juice' is made from concentrated syrup and was very sickly unless you added water; the Greek yoghurt is not proper yoghurt (it tasted a bit like paper for some reason). It was all edible and the cakes were nice, but could have been better. Thirdly, it would've been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room to not spend money on them at the pool bar when you need that afternoon caffeine hit. Lastly, rooms on the ground floor seem to have a problem with ants - I spoke to another guest who had the same experience, that the ants get in under the balcony door and through the front door so that you can't leave any shoes or mess on the floor unless you want ants in them. The cleaners always got rid of them during the daily room service, but eventually, they returned.
