Broomlea

The owners were very friendly, the room was spotless, the towels were large and thick. the choices at breakfast were excellent. There was a lovely space outside for guests. The main criticism was the size of the room, we struggled with having sufficient space for the suitcase. We found the bed was a bit hard and could have done with a mattress topper.

I’m afraid this was a weird stay for my daughter and I. It was close to an airport so planes were flying right by the house. We were greeted by the owner at 4:00 pm who let us in but informed us that check-in was at 5:00. Check-out was at 10:00 am so this was just a place to sleep. It was out in the country between hay fields and Alistair had a very bad cough. I am Covid conscious so I was uncomfortable with that. The ad said there was a pool which I was excited about but it turned out to be a hot tub which I have no interest in. Bed was comfortable, room nice, but we weren’t allowed hot food. Meanwhile he cooked a meal for he and his wife who came later and it smelled very strong. Because of his very bad cough we didn’t eat breakfast there. It was just a bad choice for us. The only one we didn’t love on this trip.

Hard to find. No GPS signal for the property. Small room. Very clean and owner very helpful. Good breakfast.

We stayed two nights at Broomlea. We wanted to be close to the airport, but not AT the airport. Broomlea was quiet, comfortable, and convenient to Inverness. We explored Fort George and the village of Ardersier. We had lovely Sunday Carvery at the Star Inn in the village. Broomlea's breakfast was delicious, and we had a pleasant stroll down the quiet farm lane.

Room was very nicely done. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was very roomy. Looked like new. Plenty out electrical outlets. Breakfast options were good

Thank you so much for your hospitality and assistance with the car problems that we had. Alistar was a great "coach" for making things happen with the rental car company. Needless to say, my husband didn't do any more driving in Scotland...

Due to its remote location on a narrow road, this place is very, very quiet, allowing for a good night's sleep. Our host was very nice and helpful who served us a very copious breakfast. The room was perfectly fine, nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed. Culloden is close by, as are Inverness, Loch Ness and its Urquhart castle, and the Cairngorms National Park is only slightly more distant but all within a one hour's drive. For going out for meals, both Inverness and Nairn are close by. Without a car or the aid of google maps, this place would not be easy to reach or to find. That would be the only drawback to staying at Broomlea.

It was a clean and spacious room with a good breakfast. The owner was very kind. I would definitely recommend.

Hosts were very nice, room super clean and very nice view to neighbouring farm properties. Very quiet for sleeping.
