The location is good where is close to city town by 15-20 minutes walking. The cleanliness of the house was good and the breakfast was also delicious with sufficient quantity.
The owner was also polite to the guests and eager to talk with them.
I encourage the others to take this guest house when staying at Inverness.

We arrived to be let in immediately, we were expected. William gave us the run down of the place and room and even carried one of the bags up. The front room was surprisingly quiet for being on a main road. Had a very comfortable sleep for 4 nights. Good breakfast, choose a time between 7:30 and 9 which is pretty fair. Cooked to order with continental as well. Kate talked to each guest, at least at the 1st breakfast and is a very nice lady. Location is good, an easy walk into town. Parking on-site, enough for 1 car per room.

The accommodation was great. Good facilities and lovely and clean. Parking in the driveway and walking distance to Inverness centre. Shame the hostess was very abrupt and not welcoming to any guests. Waited over half an hour for our breakfast to be made after the agreed breakfast time with no juice or cereal etc available to have while waiting. The continental breakfast looked rubbish.

A lovely house, the rooms are well kept, clean and very comfortable. Ensuite facilities were excellent. On site parking for 5 cars. The downside was the owner doesn't have her heart in hospitality, she met us with a sour face and grumpy attitude and it didn't improve. Breakfast was a long drawn out affair, 20 minutes before she deigned to speak and another 20 for overcooked food to arrive. Not once during our two days did she smile or offer any kind of warm conversation, her heart really isn't in it, and it shows. A real shame as this has the potential to be a fantastic b&b.

The guest house is about a fifteen minute walk from the city centre. We arrived only to be met by a woman who looked gone out to see us. Initially thinking she was the cleaner, it turned out she was the co-owner. There was no welcome greeting or introduction at all. There appeared to be no reception area. We were allowed to check-in early. As we were walking up the stairs we were asked about breakfast. So half way up the stairs we were given a time slot for breakfast. The room felt clean. A few broken lampshades and missing light bulbs but a nice room to lay our heads and have a shower. The fan was broken and was told it would be replaced. That never happened. There’s a Lidl across the street for convenience. Breakfast was okay but the sausages were straignley sweet, hence why most people had either half or two-thirds of a sausage left on their plates. Breakfast is only between 0800 and 0830. When checking out we wasn’t asked how our stay was instead Kate said she wanted to speak with me asking why I didn’t come down for breakfast the previous day and that we had wasted her bacon and sausages. Perhaps if breakfast was cooked to order and not reheated “your” bacon that we had paid for wouldn’t have been wasted. So no warm Highland welcome or a friendly goodbye, just a b0ll0ck!ng on the way out.

Llegamos tarde ya que el navegador del coche nos llevó por un camino más largo, pero avisamos al dueño. Nos dijo que ningún problema. A nuestra llegada nos recibió con mala cara. Las dos personas encargadas del desayuno, dejaban mucho que desear en cuanto a higiene y a ganas de trabajar. Quizás fue mala suerte, pero no lo recomendaría de ningún modo.

Eine Enttäuschung – leider hatten wir 3 Nächte gebucht. Gegen Ende einer dreiwöchigen Schottland-Reise mit doch einigen B&B/Hotel-Erfahrungen ist das Lyndon Guest House das einzige, das wir nicht weiterempfehlen. Am Anfang erhielten wir vom Gastgeber auf Anfrage ein paar Restaurant-Tipps, das war hilfreich und wir haben es geschätzt, es blieb aber der einzige persönliche Kontakt mit ihm in den drei Tagen. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass wir für die Frau, mit der wir danach Kontakt hatten, lästig waren, fühlten uns unwillkommen. Das Zimmer war kalt und feucht, auch auf mehrmalige freundliche Bitten von uns wurde die Heizung nicht eingeschaltet. Erst kurz vor unserer Abreise wurde es für eine Stunde wärmer. Das Frühstück war bescheiden (z.B. 1 Toast pro Person) und nicht sehr appetitlich, und die Frau verhielt sich unfreundlich bis frech. Beispiel: Wir hatten uns für 8 Uhr fürs Frühstück angemeldet. Als wir kurz nach 8 Uhr hingingen, war der Frühstücksraum verschlossen. Wir gingen also zurück ins Zimmer, kurz danach klopfte die Dame heftig an unsere Tür, ob wir jetzt endlich kämen … Es waren ausser uns kaum Gäste im Haus, trotz Hochsaison und total voller Stadt. Nach der dritten Nacht verliessen wir das Haus fluchtartig, ohne Frühstück. Schade, die Lage wäre gut (alles zu Fuss erreichbar), die stark befahrene Strasse vor dem Haus war in unserem Zimmer nicht sehr störend.
