The Craven Heifer Addingham

You're in a pub, so it's not going to be the quietest place in the world before midnight - but that's because you're in a pub. Think of the benefits! There's literally a pub downstairs! And it's a good one. Friendly, with a buzzy restaurant with great food, some outdoor space and a keen staff. Dinners are a good mix - from burgers to laksa - and breakfast works well, although they let the chefs blast loud music from the kitchen while also playing music in the restaurant next to it, so it's a confusing mix of sounds. Pick one or the other. The friendly staff could do with a few pointers from their bosses - make sure there are bowls to put cereal in, make sure there is cutlery to eat with - but these are small asks, because how hard is it to ask for them? My room was big, with a very comfortable bed and great pillows, and once the pub regulars left everything was pretty quiet and I had a good sleep. I never stay in pubs

Amazing After Eight Cheesecake with white chocolate ice cream. Just delicious, every mouthful, great yummyness. Presentation spectacular, a tower of delight. That was dessert. The Nachos starter was incredible and the 3 plates of tapas cooked to perfection especially the lamb.

Had Sunday lunch here with friends. Friendly and attentive service. Well kept ale High quality food beautifully cooked and well presented. Not cheap but reasonable prices for the quality of food and service delivered. Would recommend. We’ve booked again for Christmas Day.

This great local pub delivers fantastic food every time without fail. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff to ensure your visit is a five star experience, always a friendly atmosphere 😀. They stock an excellent selection of wines and beers and we are always pleasantly surprised when the bill arrives.

Another fabulous visit to the Craven Heifer for a meal with friends. Greeted with a very warm welcome. Outstanding food and staff who can not do enough for you. Lovely to visit somewhere and be looked after so well. Well done Team Heifer and thank you

Visited last week, with friends that were staying with us. Lovely meal, as always! Great food, lovely staff, great service, good portion size and good value for money. We are lucky to have such a lovely venue just down the road! We will be back again soon.

Stayed here as we were at a wedding nearby at The Tythe Barn. The rooms at the heifer were very good and comfy, the bar seemed nice and the food looked good although we only had breakfast which was really good. The main beef with this place is the fact that breakfast on Sunday morning was only from 8 till 9.30, not really suitable if you been to a late night party. Also, the cleaning staff were hovering outside our room at 10am wanting us to leave, saying checkout was 10am which is way too early. When I booked it, my confirmation said 11am checkout.

I have come in the heifer a few times before and in my past experiences it was been lovely however today at noon a middle aged lady who I have never seen before working at the heifer scowled at me as I was about to enter and made me feel very uncomfortable. Due to this I decided that I would choose somewhere else to dine.

Delicious Sunday lunch to celebrate our birthdays. Generous portions of scrumptious gravy, beautifully tender beef, fresh vegetable platter and an enormous Yorkshire Pudding. Friendly, young staff with good customer service. What’s not to love?
