Château Madelinot

We enjoyed a lovely stay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was basic but clean, We really enjoyed the balcony with a view of the ocean. Very close to the ferry and town. Fantastic restaurant. Loved the food there and the ambiance was great. We would stay here again. Merci.

Great location, friendly staff and clean room. With there had been a microwave in the room, but there was a fridge. Overall a decent place to stay.

The hotel was centrally located and very close to the ferry. From there we were able to travel and explore the entire island. Our room was clean and comfortable with a view of the ocean. The only issue was you could hear people walking the hallway but it didn't really bother us or wake us up, other than that, very quite. The pool, sauna and hot tub were enjoyable after a long day of driving the island, hiking and walking the beaches. There were 2 hot tubs which was very nice. The buffet breakfast was well worth the $24, one of the best buffet breakfasts we've ever had. When it was time to leave, check out was quick and we were only minutes from the ferry. I'd stay there again.

Everything was very good.. only complaint was the coffee machine didn’t work but other than that it was good!

Booked this hotel as it is really the only large hotel on the islands. Price was fair but then again it is September and at the very end of the tourist season. Room was modern (not huge) but it also had a deck that faced the water. This hotel is not new but the room we stayed in appears to have been recently upgraded. I think they are focusing their upgrades on the inside which I also think is a good thing. I am sure that the exterior will be next. I would give it a 6/5 if that was possible because of the hospitality I was shown - you need to experience it to believe it. To begin with we had dinner twice in the restaurant and were served by Jean-Francois and Jacque. They both spent a lot of time talking to us and I could tell that they are so proud of the islands. We were treated as guests and not as customers. I also spent some time talking with Manon at the front desk asking for help on booking tours and attractions we should see. She spend a lot of time with me and even made some phone calls for me too - I should have left something $$$ for her because she really wanted us to have the best island experience and she delivered. Although my French speaking ability is very limited, it didn't matter as they went out of their way to help in any way they could as did everyone we met). Not sure that I have ever experienced the level of hospitality that was shown to us at the hotel and also everywhere we visited. I would stay there again and hope to do so again soon. Just keep in mind that this isn't The Ritz.

Hotel is quite nice, and very close to ferry. Room was fair size, clean, with everything you need. Nice view as well. Restaurant was very pricey…$37 for breakfast buffet with limited options. The hotel staff speak very little to no English. We were awaken at 5 am with noisy hall conversations…not sure if it was staff or guests leaving for ferry…but very disruptive to those of us trying to sleep. Not a lot of choices for hotels in the Magdalene islands..but this one served the purpose.

Enjoyed the room, it was clean and comfort. Liked the proximity to the ferry . Staff were friendly . Our first morning we had people in hallway at 5 am who were very loud - maybe other guests getting ready for ferry?? other than that it was great.

Well located with nice and friendly staff, I have the perfect view from my room. Parking is ample and easy. Breakfast was tasty but the space is a bit crowded, nice people serving though!

What a wonderful stay ! Very nice room very clean and updated .. comfy bed great view of the bay! Will definitely return !
