I am genuinely astonished that TripAdvisor continues to feature mostly positive or reasonable reviews for this hotel. The stark reality is far bleaker. Plastic polystyrene cups are strewn across the premises, mains electricity covers are dangerously left exposed, and the block paving is in an appalling state of disrepair. Both the hotel and the apartments are visibly neglected, and the bamboo beach windbreakers are falling apart. Worse still, the phones in the rooms are entirely non-functional—also, only a small plastic chair in hte bathroom to use for your toiletries. After enduring three consecutive afternoons without water, I lodged a second complaint about being unable to take a shower. Shockingly, the only response I received was the offer of a single bottle of water. This blatant disregard for basic guest needs is utterly unacceptable, and quite frankly, this hotel should not be allowed to remain open. Even the staff acknowledged the numerous issues, but their lack of urgency was alarming. While they may have had good intentions, their efforts were woefully inadequate. Perhaps the most distressing issue was the overpowering stench emanating from a sewer drain near my apartment. Despite reporting this problem, it took five days before any action was taken, and by then, my stay was nearly over. Although it didn't completely ruin my visit, it certainly cast a shadow over the entire experience. If you find my words hard to believe, as the saying goes, 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' I encourage you to review some of the 100 or so photos I took during my stay. Please do not waste your hard-earned money on this establishment. That said, not everything was in vain. I had the pleasure of sharing a memorable return journey with a delightful young lady (A), which, in the end, offered a silver lining to what was otherwise a highly disappointing trip."
