Steigenberger Makadi

This is our third visit to Steigenberger Makadi. Once again, it was a truly fantastic stay. We were fortunate to have a room with a golf course view. The welcome on arrival is something we have never experienced at any hotel anywhere else in the world. For those of you who have never been to Egypt, the service is absolutely gold standard. From front desk, restaurant, housekeeping to golf staff, the service is exceptional. Like ourselves, there are couples who have been to Steigenberger multiple times. We will unquestionably return. Thanks again Steigenberger staff for another wonderful stay

Outstanding service - Reda was our waiter! A true gent and good service. Mahmoud (restaurant manager) nothing was ever too much trouble for him & smelt lovely! Food was stunning and the gardens kept lovely. Room needed updating but is spotlessly kept clean by Dan. Yeyahe and Ahmed at the pool were great. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We did feel sorry for whalid as he was constantly run off his feet serving drinks. Maybe another pool waiter could be added? Would definitely return. We’re even thinking of cancelling our trip in September to Jamaica to come here instead! Thank you Steigenberger makadi.

A lovely hotel, nice laid back vibe, quiet pool area, exactly what we like. Room was a very large suite, balcony pool, was too hot, and not cleaned at all throughout our stay

Absolutely beautiful hotel, service is outstanding, food is beautiful you have the option of using other restaurants in the resort which are fab too, the staff remember you by name and also remember your drink order! Only issue we had was wifi was poor at times but they were fitting new cables to improve it as we left, will definitely return. The golf course is maintained to perfection!

The hotel's accommodation was exceptional in every aspect, from the luxurious rooms to the impeccable service. The only downside was discovering that drinks were not included with dinner, which was a bit unexpected given the otherwise outstanding experience.

Thank you so much for everything during our stay. The hotel is fancy, the room is cozy, and the staff is incredible. Special thanks to Mr. Ayman, Azmy, Waleed, Yehia, and the loveliest person ever, Abanob. Also, a big thank you to the very nice waiter in the bar, whose name I unfortunately didn't get. The food is great; perhaps more Egyptian food would have been nice, but overall, everything is perfect. I'm already planning our next visit. Thanks again! I also appreciate how much you care about the environment. Please keep up the good work! Thank you for minimizing the use of plastic and for your efforts to be sustainable.

Our 3rd visit to this fab hotel says it all its so good we keep coming back Brilliant staff a big shout out to Kadou for the water gym which my hubby loved....Yahir for attending to all our needs at the pool from cleaning our sunglasses to moving our sunbeds brilliant guy..Azmi at reception is very efficient and helpful the boys in the restaurant the pool bar and of course our room boy all gave fabulous service We cant wait to return in 2025 keep up the good work your all obviously doing something right as every one returns 😎😘

After reading the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor ,I did have high expectations. I was delighted to find that these were actually surpassed! The ‘stand out feature’ of this hotel has to be the staff. Without exception, all superb. Friendly, hard working, respectful but with a good sense of humour, they all went the extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble & they genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. The food also was amazing. The attention to detail regarding presentation was second to none. It was a visual treat as well as a culinary one with plenty of choice to suit everyone’s palate. The Egyptian wine is ,perhaps ,an acquired taste but plenty of cocktails, good G&T’s ,etc to fill the gap. Entertainment in the bar each evening was varied & of a better standard than I’d expected. As I mentioned previously, it was the attention to detail that particularly impressed me. Fruit kebabs each morning by the pool,along with a sunglasses cleaning service,(yes, really!) Daily towel art, sweet treats in the room, constantly checking to see how my husband was when ill, special teas made for him, chef’s noting & providing favourite dishes even when not on the menu. I could go on & on. All areas immaculately clean & a manager who cared enough to be constantly visable , checking & speaking with guests. We’ve been fortunate to stay in 5 star properties around the world & this hotel ranks up there with them. If I was looking for negatives, as mentioned by other guests, the Wifi is unpredictable & frustrating at times , hopefully it can be improved on for the future. Also, on one night, World Earth Day?, the lights were dimmed around the hotel to emphasise sustainability for the future. A caring gesture but it also provided a more intimate a**osphere in the restaurant. Perhaps dimming the lights would be considered for the future as a permanent feature? Summarising, a fabulous hotel, so much so that we’ve just rebooked!!

This place is beyod amazing, despite it’s a bit far from the sea, but it’s out of this world! Great hospitality, food, service and accommodation!!! Actually they’re a school for a great hospitality and service. We were staying in the private pool suite and it was perfect! THANK YOU❤️
