This is our third visit to Steigenberger Makadi. Once again, it was a truly fantastic stay. We were fortunate to have a room with a golf course view. The welcome on arrival is something we have never experienced at any hotel anywhere else in the world. For those of you who have never been to Egypt, the service is absolutely gold standard. From front desk, restaurant, housekeeping to golf staff, the service is exceptional. Like ourselves, there are couples who have been to Steigenberger multiple times. We will unquestionably return. Thanks again Steigenberger staff for another wonderful stay

Every now and again you stumble across a place that is just perfect. Well this is it. Set back from the bay over looking Makadi itself and the beautifully kept golf course lies the understated beautifully designed Steigenberger Makadi. It's not a big hotel it's the perfect size. It has a fantastic pool area and restaurant with comfortable sunbeds (and there is always some available) with great shading where needed. Couples return here year after year, high praise indeed. The beach is but a small (regular and free) bus ride in with free drinks and food at the beach restaurant along with a share hotel only beach area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with amazing views from the balcony no matter which side you stay. I want to be clear here tipping is not expected (though we do at the end of our stay) and you never feel pressured too. Steigenberger is made special by the people that work tirelessly here to make our stay special. From the first steps into the hotel to our checkout and everything in-between. The waiting staff are wonderful and always on hand to help. The Chefs who created some wonderful dishes and catered for every allergy that was thrown at them even creating individual dishes to surprise and excite us. If you have an allergy such as lactose or gluten then honestly this is an excellent choice. Next the grounds people and housekeeping who work tirelessly to keep it all clean and sparkling. Finally the management who you really feel, are genuinely proud and passionate about making your stay special. We are already booking for November! Thank you Steigenberger Makadi your are a credit to your group.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. Our first was 7 years ago & I have got to say that we are really glad we came back. It was even better than our first stay & would definitely book again at some point. The staff are so friendly & willing to help, it was so good to see that Reda was still working in the restaurant & he remembered us, he's a lovely man & a great waiter. We came home totally relaxed which was the aim of the holiday. Great comfortable beds around the pool. The food was top notch & 1 of the chefs went out of his way to make me some roast potatoes one evening when I couldn't find anything else to go with my meal. An absolute gem of a hotel that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend

This is one of the best hotels in Egypt. We have stayed at this hotel twelve times. Fantastic service and great food. The staff can't do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble. The management team are also great. If you require anything extra they are happy to accommodate. We will be booking our next stay soon.

Outstanding service - Reda was our waiter! A true gent and good service. Mahmoud (restaurant manager) nothing was ever too much trouble for him & smelt lovely! Food was stunning and the gardens kept lovely. Room needed updating but is spotlessly kept clean by Dan. Yeyahe and Ahmed at the pool were great. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We did feel sorry for whalid as he was constantly run off his feet serving drinks. Maybe another pool waiter could be added? Would definitely return. We’re even thinking of cancelling our trip in September to Jamaica to come here instead! Thank you Steigenberger makadi.

A lovely hotel, nice laid back vibe, quiet pool area, exactly what we like. Room was a very large suite, balcony pool, was too hot, and not cleaned at all throughout our stay

Absolutely beautiful hotel, service is outstanding, food is beautiful you have the option of using other restaurants in the resort which are fab too, the staff remember you by name and also remember your drink order! Only issue we had was wifi was poor at times but they were fitting new cables to improve it as we left, will definitely return. The golf course is maintained to perfection!

The hotel's accommodation was exceptional in every aspect, from the luxurious rooms to the impeccable service. The only downside was discovering that drinks were not included with dinner, which was a bit unexpected given the otherwise outstanding experience.

Thank you so much for everything during our stay. The hotel is fancy, the room is cozy, and the staff is incredible. Special thanks to Mr. Ayman, Azmy, Waleed, Yehia, and the loveliest person ever, Abanob. Also, a big thank you to the very nice waiter in the bar, whose name I unfortunately didn't get. The food is great; perhaps more Egyptian food would have been nice, but overall, everything is perfect. I'm already planning our next visit. Thanks again! I also appreciate how much you care about the environment. Please keep up the good work! Thank you for minimizing the use of plastic and for your efforts to be sustainable.
