J·Mountain Hotel

Mount Huangshan Huangshan|2.84km de Yungu Temple
Our stay at the J. Mountain hotel was beyond our wildest dreams. I rarely leave reviews but our 3 nights here were so stunningly exceptional that we felt driven to express our gratitude and appreciation for the stellar staff, service, and beautiful setting of this hidden gem of a hotel. The service was without exception some of the best if not the best I have ever experienced at a hotel, and I travel often, having visited over 20 countries in the last few years alone and stayed at many beautiful and well-known five-star hotels and brands. Despite being a very young hotel (having just opened in September) J. Mountain Hotel holds its own and then some. It began months before our stay when we reached out to the hotel on WeChat to ask for guidance on equipment, tickets, and transportation. As we are visiting from America the area isn’t necessarily the easiest to access or plan for. Responses were almost immediate no matter when we reached out and always went above and beyond. For instance, my mother is nearly 70 and although very active was worried about slipping and falling while hiking in icier conditions; they offered to even purchase crampons for us should we wish although they advised us we would not need them for the time of year we were here (they were right). While here their thoughtfulness included texting us updates on and warning us about inclement weather while we were hiking around Huang Shan (there is cell service), drying and fluffing our wet gear when we returned from a particularly wet hike, and most astounding of all resolving an incredibly stressful issue we had with an upcoming flight that had been canceled (they suggested and secured alternative means of transport to a second city and then arranged for a different flight with the airline directly). We must specifically give our thanks to Hotel Manager Ryan, who is young but clearly extremely talented and excels in his role. He not only oversaw and proactively sought to help us on every front but was responsible for resolving our flight emergency. He also clearly had directed staff to help us to their utmost ability at all times, including having breakfast and dinner ready for and served to us at the times we requested. Ryan also personally met us and gave us a tour of the hotel and its history and design, as well as accompanied us to the art gallery and an evening tea tasting held in the gorgeous tea house on the grounds. He checked in with us every day and night and made sure everything was to our liking. Driver Wang Kai was our personal chauffer throughout the stay and was extremely courteous, professional, and attentive; he was always there to pick us up and see us off at multiple locations throughout our trip and not once were we ever allowed to wait. He even brought us hotel slippers and large down jackets to change into out of our soaking wet gear when picking us up at the end of a hike. When we said we did not think we would need some of the gear they offer their guests, we noticed he packed it in the car just in case we changed our minds and needed them later. I could literally go on and on but wanted to make sure I left room to appreciate how beautiful the hotel itself is and how much attention to detail has gone into its design and planning; at almost every turn we discovered something that added to the ease, enjoyment, and comfort of our stay. J. Mountain Hotel, thank you for one of the best experiences we have had in many, many years.

Mount Huangshan
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a comfortable hotel in the beautiful and serene Yellow Mountain, Anhui. The overall experience was excellent, thanks to the comfortable accommodations and the stunning natural surroundings. The hotel itself provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect retreat for anyone looking to escape the bustling city life. The rooms were well-maintained and offered all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The staff was polite and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries. One of my favorite aspects of the hotel was its idyllic location amidst the breathtaking scenery of Yellow Mountain. Waking up to the awe-inspiring views of lush forests and majestic peaks was a truly unforgettable experience. Exploring the nearby trails and enjoying the fresh mountain air served as the perfect tonic for the soul. However, my only disappointment was with the dining options at the hotel. While the food provided within the hotel was of decent quality and showcased local cuisine, it would have been nice to have some alternative dining choices nearby. As the hotel was the only dining option in the immediate vicinity, it limited the opportunities to explore the local food scene.

The Peak Of Mount Huangshan
This hotel is well located to bright summit peak and turtle peak, ideal for watching sunset and sunrise. They recommended that we watched sunrise from bright summit peak, and therefore, we should go to turtle peak for sunset, and we were very lucky to witness both! We booked a triple room. The room was a good size, although the bathroom was on the smaller end. The only downside was the room was quite cold, despite the radiator being on full power. There were extra blankets in the room for that purpose. The service was otherwise impeccable: we were given ginger tea on arrival, we were shown to our room (albeit it was outside the main block), the hotel supplied down jackets and torches for sunrise the next morning. They called us to inform us that there were a lot of visitors on the summit, and to leave earlier the next morning for sunrise to get a good spot. We were also given snacks, fruit and a free coffee the next morning for our descent. Breakfast was a buffet and there was a good variety of food.

Facilities: Everything you need for daily use is complete, and all kinds of facilities are good! Hygiene: Very clean, whether it is the gate, reception hall, stairs, corridors, or rooms, they are all very clean and tidy. Especially the glass is also very clean, and the mountain view is great! Environment: Very good, quiet, you can see the highest peak of Huangshan Mountain from the room, and get up early in the morning, sit in front of the big French windows, look at Huangshan Mountain, green pine trees, bamboo forests, and smoke from cooking at the foot of the mountain, like a fairyland on earth. Service: The service is very good, the boss and the proprietress are very enthusiastic, they are locals, and they answer every question, and the explanations are also very detailed. Any questions or local culture are introduced very well! Finally, I would like to summarize the experience of staying in this hotel: it is really great! As soon as the car arrived at the door, the proprietress waited enthusiastically outside the car before turning off the engine, and enthusiastically helped us carry our luggage to the room. Since I didn't see the proprietress coming out of the house at the beginning, I thought it was another shop trying to rob customers, so I was defensive and indifferent. Later, when I found out that it was the proprietress, I took off my guard and apologized to the proprietress here😄 Because we are traveling with our parents by car, and when we are away from home, we are most worried about our parents' sleep and food. This time we rested very well, the rest environment is quiet, the air is fresh, the mountain spring water is also very delicious, and the tea is sweet. In terms of food, I must praise the cooking skills of the proprietress here. She is beautiful and cooks delicious dishes. Everyone must try the proprietress's cooking skills! In terms of travel, the boss helped us plan the Huangshan itinerary, how to go shopping for young people, how to go shopping if you are physically strong, and how to go shopping for the elderly, with both pictures and texts, plus the boss explained in detail, you can understand it after listening, and how to hand in hand how to go on the phone Make an appointment to buy tickets, so you don’t have to worry about the preliminary preparations for going to the scenic spots. He also prepared trekking poles for us, as well as drinking water and food suitable for the mountains. The boss is very careful. The place where I live is also very close to the scenic spots. The owner’s car will pick you up and drop you off. The Jiulong Waterfall scenic spot is only two minutes away by car, and Huangshan Mountain is about 10 minutes away by car. Traveling is very convenient. Share it with your friends, many friends have already asked me for a link, and they must live here when they are ready to come. Finally, I would like to say that the tea leaves roasted by the boss himself are also very fragrant. It was really a great trip and I highly recommend it.
