Huangshan Yilong Anyue Hotel (Huangshan Scenic Area South Gate Transfer Center)

Good location, not too far from Tangkou bus transfer terminal. When we arrived here, we asked a local to help us call them and they immediately sent a car to picked us up. Transport to and fro Tangkou bus terminal was free. The room was clean, facilities good, separate toilet/bathroom. Building not so new but facilities well maintained and clean. Breakfast was Chinese style buffet, simple but adequate. Service from all the staff from front desk, the boss, the driver, the restaurant staff and the cleaning lady were excellent. I stayed in 5 hotels during this trip to China and this hotel provided the best service. The driver even helped us to get a direct transfer to our subsequent Tunxi hotel, without us getting fleeced. I believe the hotel, restaurant and adjoining mini-mart are all family owned.

The hotel is a 1.6km taxi or hotel shuttle ride away from the bus transferstation. Room was modern and clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful in assuring that I had no trouble finding my way. On a future trip I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

This is the best hotel near Huangshan. Clean and food downstairs are excellent. If I go back again, I will definitely stay in this hotel.

The location of the hotel is great, especially if you want to go to the mountains, as it is very close to the entrance. The staff at the hotel are friendly and happy to help (5 stars for staff at the reception). They also arranged a free shuttle for me from the hotel to the entrance to the mountain. Unfortunately, no one speaks any English at all ... The room is fine, it's small, but I don't even need a bigger one. It is important that it is clean. The windows don't seal well and you can hear everything that happens outside. There is a construction site on the north side of the hotel and they start working very early and they are loud ... Even I marked room with a "Not disturb" sign, they replaced all the towels and also replaced my slippers with new ones (Why? I had this slippers from previous hotels, because I don't want to produce a lot of waste). I also went to lunch at the hotel restaurant; I ordered the pork dish (58 yuan). After a really long time I got the dish brought by the all panicked cook (the waitress forgot, because she was looking at something on her phone the whole time). I said this is not the dish I ordered, because there was chicken on the plate (a dish on menu for the 38 yuan). She tried to make me believe it is pork, which it wasn't. I said I will eat that too, even it's not what I ordered. The dish was cold, because it probably waited too long in the kitchen. The waitress went to the co-worker and told her that she brought me something that I didn't order and that don't know. They laughed happily about it and looking to my direction (I don't speak Chinese, but I knew exactly what they were talking about). I am not stupid. When I asked for the bill, a surprise. The waitress charged me for the pork dish (58 yuan) and not for the chicken dish (38 yuan). I told her I will pay for the dish I got (chicken dish). She did't want to change the amount on the account. I called the boss, who then arranged it. No apology from anyone for the mistake ... I really did not expect such an attitude. Disappointment about that ...

The room was new and neat. The heater works very well. Services were outstanding. But the lobby was filled with smoke despite the “no smoking” sign.

Superb room, clean, modern and looks brand new. Free ginger tea and snacks at reception. Not a lot of people speak english but you get away with google translate. Someone called to pick me up from Tangkou center. There’s free drop off down to the shuttle bus to the Huangshan mountains (to Yungu cable car) if you ask :) Ladies of the restaurant downstairs are nice. Got an incredible feet/body massage also downstairs for around 250 yuans which was MUCH needed after the hike.
