What made our stay here amazing wasn't only the comfortable beds, spacious room and delicious breakfast, but the wonderful manager (I believe her family name is Tan, forgive me if I forgot) and her polite and helpful staff! Firstly, our reservation was at ”SWEETOME Hotel”, but they decided they were no longer allowing foreigners to stay at their hotel (even with covid tests and green health codes). Fine, that's their ignorant decision to make, however, the problem was we were told this on arrival at check in. How unprofessional and thoughtless of them! Thankfully, Trip called around and this hotel seemed to be the only one taking foreigners, we were of course relieved. At this point our expectations were very low and I was thinking of cancelling the trip at leaving the next day, but the warmth and friendliness of the manager and all the staff we met at check-in and afterwards as well as the comfy room made us stay and enjoy Huangshan for 3 days.
