"The hotel's hygiene was appalling. As soon as I stepped into the elevator, there was a mix of dust and a foul odor, and the floor was covered in cigarette butts. The cleaning staff were mopping the floors outside in the middle of the night, making them slippery, and there were footprints all over the hallway. Even after cleaning, there were still cigarette butts on the ground. When I entered the room, a strong, musty smell hit me immediately. It only got better after keeping the ventilation and windows open for a long time. The cleaning was inadequate; there were old grains of rice on the headboard from who knows when – were they afraid we'd starve at night? There were also cobwebs and insect mummies in the corners, and thick dust along all the edges of the room! The shower even had plenty of drain flies joining me. Every surface had a layer of dust, the duvet felt a bit damp, and there were unidentified hairs. The toilet seat had urine stains, and the air conditioner hummed like a tractor when turned on. The bathtub wasn't clean either, with a yellowish-brown mark that looked like a cigarette burn. The breakfast soy milk was as thin as the water I use to rinse my face wash, and the eggs were rotten. When we complained to the front desk about the rotten eggs, they offered to give us five eggs as we were checking out, without even mentioning a refund. We booked three rooms and only got six free bottles of water – they're so stingy! The underground parking lot was dilapidated and reeked like a dump, and it cost five yuan an hour. No one ever cleans it; there were piles of trash and foul-smelling water in the corners. I felt like I'd catch pneumonia just by breathing in there. We only chose this hotel because it was closest to the highway exit, but I never expected the hygiene to be this terrible! Honestly, it's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in!!"
