We WERE to be travelling from the back end of Wrexham all the way up to The Green Lodge as we have eaten there in the past and, as a registered Coeliac, I have to know I can eat "safely" as it is most certainly NOT by choice that I am gluten free !!! Anyway, I just made the customary phone call to double check they still cater for me, BUT, the manager there (Karina Rogers and I apologise if I've misspelled) knew absolutely NOTHING about her restaurant, her cooking style and when it came to putting me at ease, well, we travelled elsewhere !!! She said that it was a bad line when she didn't know the answers to my question and rang me back on her mobile TWO minutes later as, obviously, she needed to ask someone for the answers, but STILL could not answer them ha ha !!! Then, she said I (yes I) was being aggressive when I was just trying to secure my safety at eating at her premises !!! If I'd have eaten food that wasn't "safe" for me on the Friday evening, well, I'd be ill ALLLLL Saturday and Sunday and maybe into the working week, but, I was being aggressive for asking questions on eating safely there - YIKES !!!
