King Sitric

We have stayed at this fabulous hotel previously and this visit was just as good as our last. The welcome from Garret was genuine and welcoming. We had booked a room overlooking Balscadden Bay, which was absolutely stunning. Having the window open during the night and being woken by the crashing waves is a noise we could never tire of. Our room was lovely, very comfortable, decorated with a nautical theme. The bed super comfy with quality bedding, the bathroom well equipped and modern, good storage and lots of information in relation to local walks and things to see and do. We enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar served by delightful staff. Breakfast was fabulous, great choices to please everyone. We enjoyed a well stocked continental buffet and then plaice (locally provided) simply cooked with lemon along with a generous portion of smoked salmon, both served with home made brown bread. An amazing stay from start to finish, we can’t wait to return.

The staff were so friendly. The room was cosy. Lovely touch with the truffle chocolates. The food both dinner and breakfast was absolutely delicious. It was pricey but worth it for a treat. Gorgeous fish. Definitely will return!

Perfect location, with great views, incredibly comfortable rooms, and the best staff ever! Small tip, The Seafood in the restaurant is great, but non seafood is not so great. I mean it is a Seafood restaurant so...

Absolutely loved the King Setric, service was great, location brilliant, food lovely and the staff were outstanding! Only downside, the beds were a bit uncomfortable, but won’t stop us from staying there again.

King Sitric was a fantastic place to stay in Howth, Ireland. It has all the charm, warmth, and hospitality of Ireland and its people rolled up into one. The establishment is in a lovely village of Howth, with fantastic ocean front views of Ireland's coast. The food in the restaurant was superb, and the breakfast was divine. The Owner made sure all of our needs were met, and her hospitality exceeded all of our expectations. This is a great place to get away for a long weekend, and recharge your batteries in a charming Inn with all of the amenities. You will come away feeling refreshed and your batteries recharged from being treated as if you were part of their family. King Sitric is a well run establishment that deserves a visit or two. From the moment we saw King Sitric online, we were smitten and planned our COVID-delayed honeymoon around staying here. IRL, it exceeded all our hopes and is the best hotel we've ever stayed at hands down. The view is gorgeous, the location convenient to the rest of Howth and the cliffs and one of the best dinners of our lives (lobster in classic butter and wine and Dublin lawyer sauce), and an incredible Irish breakfast and French press that fueled day 2 of hiking. The Fastnet suite was the best room we've ever stayed in, with a darling window seat that gave unmatched views (and sounds!) of the crashing waves, a super comfy king bed, beautiful furniture and a great bathroom with heated towel rack that came in handy for our clothes. I cannot cannot rec King Sitric enough! Our only complaint? That we didn't stay here the whole time we were in Dublin. Lesson learned and we're already plotting our return stay to the Fastnet suite, which I will miss every hour of every day until I take my rightful place in "my" window seat again! Great location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely room with view over harbour (upgraded on arrival) and excellent shower in spacious ensuite bathroom. Fabulous breakfast with plenty of choice, freshly cooked to order and sourced locally.
