I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the hotel itself looked fantastic. Everything was new and impeccably clean, which made the stay very pleasant. However, there are areas that need improvement. The service was quite slow. It took us 50 minutes to check in, and one night, I had to wait 18 minutes to get my car from the valet service. For breakfast, we waited 15 minutes to be seated even though there were open seats outside. These delays were frustrating and affected our overall experience. The pool area also needs better management. There were often glasses and used towels left around that needed to be cleared, and sometimes the dry towels ran out, which was inconvenient. Overall, while the hotel's appearance and cleanliness are commendable, addressing these service issues would significantly enhance the guest experience. I hope management takes this feedback into consideration.

The Thompson is a great place for a stay cation. We are here enjoying the July 4th Holiday at the pool! Monica and Chris who work poolside provided excellent service in this brutal Texas heat! Thank you Monica and Chris for making us feel welcomed!

Amazing scenery and service. Cedric was amazing and was a delightful first impression to what I would experience. I love the clean aesthetic. He answered all of my questions and ensured me this was the place to be. I will return and plan on having an event here.

Came across this new hotel while booking my wife’s birthday staycation. Glad we did. Very impressive, thankful to get upgraded to the Skyline suite. Room was perfect and the views!! Monica by the pool made us feel special. Thank you so much Monica for the amazing service and the banner!! Hotel is new. Had some few hiccups. Concierge never reached out to coordinate our stay, our first day at the pool no one acknowledge us for service, drinks or anything.. (we wish Monica was there the day before!!) maybe a shift change, and we didn’t receive turndown service like we were told by staff.

It was an amazing experience (luxury, clean lines, modern styling) and will definitely return, but could only give 4 stars: the bed was hard & felt stiff on waking, the high individual charges for small items in room ($10 soda in minibar, $10 chips), forced 20% gratuity on room service and lack of mirror treatment on the bathroom windows (we couldn't enjoy the city view).

The rooms and service were second to none. From the complimentary water bottle at check-in to the views of the Houston city-scape, my experience at the Thompson Houston was unforgetable.

Very nice hotel. Nice amenities pool was great. Monica at the pool was very nice. Came here for a staycation. The Hyatt redemption reward was legit and massive value. Can’t beat the Thompson point redemptions. The rooms are very nice. They have cabanas that are open seating too!

The Thompson is a beautiful new hotel in Houston near downtown. The staff are so kind and accommodating. The amenities are top notch and the pool is perfect (minus the really hot tile) Monica at the pool is so sweet and helpful. We have had the best staycation, I don’t want to leave!
