I stayed at the Thompson Hotel recently to attend the opening of the Toca Madera restaurant next door. The staff was kind and helpful and the hotel itself was gorgeous and luxurious. I would absolutely plan another trip to Houston just to stay there again. If you are considering staying at the Thompson Hotel, you should!

Amazing staff. Terrific! Exceptional!!!! I’ll stealing your staff for my hotel! This is how hospitality should be done. Everyone is engaged, kind, sweet and willing to do whatever is necessary to make the clientele happy. Everyone in hospitality should tip a page from the Thompson Houston’s book and see how it’s done. Kaneshia, Arianna, Olivia and Lisa were amazing!

5- love the staff. Russell, Mark- they all took care of me. The rooms are GORGEOUS. Breakfast is great in Sol 7. The coffee is amazing, and I really appreciate that. I loved the drivers in the hotel cars that took me downtown and to friend’s homes everyday! Cedric and Charles are fantastic.

Wonderful hotel, it looks like it was just renovated or built. The hotel starts on the 7th floor, residences are below. This creates fantastic views. We had a city side view. We used all our Hyatt points to get a suite and it was well worth it. We spent most all of our time in the room, that’s how nice it was. The street can be noisy but we didn’t mind. The design of the hotel is comfortable and modern, which don’t always go together. The coffee shop downstairs called Maven is a must visit, an Astros player started it and he hired an excellent barista to run it, the serve drinks in the evenings. We didn’t have time for the pool as it rained but we enjoyed watching that from our room. The park next to the hotel is a good place to ride bikes, stroll or run. We took ours and found places to eat and shop. I’d come back here next time we are in town, the staff were friendly. The parking is valet or you can wait for a spot on the back that’s shared with the gym. They made it sound like you could be towed but the people that work at the hotel park there without passes so that’s what we did.

I want to give a major shout-out to Victor, Olivia, and Charles. They were the main staff we interacted with and they were fantastic. The valet team was great and I really only had to open my car door once. They are a great example of a staff taking pride in their work. The room was spacious and beautiful with an AMAZING view. The only downside to the room was the tv didn't quite get good reception so every show got staticky often. But otherwise, it was an amazing stay for hubby and I to enjoy our anniversary. Also, the robes are sooooo comfy. Thank you to Olivia and Victor for your work on the hotel, it shows. And thank you Charles (in the house car) for being such a friendly driver.

Just departed from a wonderful 2-night stay at this brand new property. We stayed in a panoramic suite which was beautiful, had a fantastic view of the park, and had high end amenities such as a Dyson hair dryer which my wife loved. We were especially well taken care of by Roy in the valet department, who took us most everywhere in the BMW house cars. He truly went above and beyond and helped to make our stay especially enjoyable. The one point of feedback I would have is that the service at Sol 7 could use some ironing out, but certainly not a big enough inconvenience to dissuade us from returning.

Gorgeous hotel, great service. Mark Flores was extremely friendly and helped recommend a great place to eat dinner nearby. Only recommendation would have been to have music or a dj by the pool as it was MDW and zero music could be heard. We had rented a cabana during our stay and would have enjoyed that.

Thank you all who made my stay feel so special!! Everyone had an amazing attitude, great smile, and the staff was very attentive! From the front desk to the pool deck, restaurant, spa, coffee shop and even on the residents side, everyone was so welcoming. Excellent hotel the staff were super friendly and helpful from joy at the front desk to my guy at the bar they made my stay memorable that I’ll be back again lovely spacious rooms comfortable Bed pillows are lovely they will give you happy dreams and the bathroom is basically a spa honestly I can’t wait to come back to Houston.
