The worst van der valk ever. Stay away and book somewhere else, if you don’t have time to read further. The price was rather high and I booked because it had a pool, which was disappointing, very small, biting smell of chlorine, not suitable for kids. But the worst is the restaurant. The poor food and the reviews are right. But the waiters are just not fit to work in the hospitality business. They look like they are burdened by requests, don't know much about their menu, and act grumpy. But our experience tops any others. We left the restaurant without ordering (and without saying anything) because we were ignored, and did not like the service and food the day before. Now, the waitress and some young “manager” came to our table at the other cafe! They started to lecture us on how unpleased they were by _our_ attitude! We were deeply shaken by this. Our kid was unsettled. We left the cafe and talked to the receptionist about making a complaint. It almost brought my wife to tears. But that’s not everything: the words were exchanged and we were asked to leave the hotel! I traveled a lot but have never seen such arrogance and audacity to offend people. It casts a shadow at all van der Valk hotels.

It is the second time I have chosen to stay in a Van der Valk hotel and they have proven to be a very good choice. They offer various services and have really comfortable rooms

Amazing hotel, great service. The team here are so helpful and friendly. The rooms are lovely and spacious with both a rain shower and bath. Coffee pod machine along with kettle provide a early morning drink as you wake up. Has excellent restaurants, a pool and a Vue cinema. Highly recommend this hotel.

Can´t tell anything negative. Was there just for a night, but everything was fine. Big advantage are the fast charging stations in front of the hotel. Als the breakfast was really well sorted. Everyone can find something fine there. I cant say anything else about other facilities there, because I did not use them.. but there is a Dunkin Donoughts right at the Hotel :D

Excellent place to stay for business - very quiet and efficient. Check-in can be done online but as I arrived after 22:30 I had to pickup a key at reception. This took less than 20 seconds. Reception was very friendly. Rooms are silent and large for european standards. Woke up refreshed and ready for a tough day of work meetings.

An excellent hotel with fantastic and extremely helpful and attentive staff. The room was clean, really comfortable and although I didn't try it, it had the biggest bath and best shower. The food and amenities are first class and I would definitely stay at Hotel Van De Valk again. Highly recommended Thank You

I like to stay in the VdV. I guess I spend more then 30-40 nights there in 2023. Everything is great food, cleaning, rooms and stuff is so nice but I dont understand why they dont offer some benefits for the loyal customers:) I have asked to the reception but they even couldnt inform me. So nice hotel for couple nights but if you are travelling a lot then they dont offer anything to stay with them:)

It was a very nice stay we had in the hotel in Hoorn. Beautiful hotel with cosy a**osphere and very nice decorated. The room was just perfect and contained everything you could wish for. We were hoping for better information in English. Everything in this hotel was only advised in Dutch. Since we don’t speak Dutch we were quite lost. The wellness area was ok, but really missing a warm jacuzzi for full relaxation
