Appletree Holiday Park

Two years after my first visit to Appletree when it had only been open a matter of weeks, it has now become my favourite holiday park. Being owned by Away Resorts, I can be confident of the quality of accommodation which has never disappointed. I did have a slight issue with the TV but a staff member came and quickly rectified it. In the past two years I have probably visited about 5 times. The park is beautifully maintained and peaceful. While I do still request accommodation away from the railway line they will always do their best to take this into consideration on allocation. I took advantage of the 'book before you leave' offer saving 15% on my November break there. When it came to selecting accommodation Tracy and Vicki were so helpful. Vicki, the park manager, took me to view the unit I could book which made the process very easy. Since my earlier visits pathways have been cut providing ample areas to walk and make the most of the countryside and spot wildlife. Just the job!

We arrived at apple tree resort.this place is amazing.the accomation is exceptional and value for money.its peaceful perfect to have a lovely rest.the bar is really nice with good food.there was even a singer at weekend who was brilliant .can't wait to go back also staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you

very nice holiday park very peaceful reason for 4 stars lack of street lighting light out in the lounge reported on first day there came home today and still wasnt fixed the bar was nice but quite expensive but other than that had a lovely time and staff were extremely kind

Appletree Country Park is a beautifully maintained and peaceful destination in a lovely location. The choice and standard of accommodation is high and the staff are friendly and helpful. Way cut paths across the parkland allow for good walks and the opportunity to spot wildlife. This isn't my first visit and I've already booked to return.

We arrived at apple tree resort on Monday 29th July. This break was something we were all looking forward until disaster struck. We booked a 10 person lodge (exclusive woodland waterside, number 9). We got the lodge key only to find the hot tub wasn't working. An engineer came out and fixed this. We then carried on unpacking only then to find out the freezer doesn't work which meant all our fresh meat and ice lollies were all melted. We put another complaint in. This time they moved our freezer items to the lodge next door, which again the freezers were not working. It got worse when we noticed bed bugs ( not 1 or 2 ) but many in each bedroom. Once again we made a complaint. They moved us to a smaller lodge opposite. We were very disappointed as now we were downgraded and not enough space as we had no choice but to just get on with it and make do with it until the staff provide feedback. At this point my kids were so worried and scared they wanted to come back home. After their fear with the bed bugs, they looked around in the downgraded lodge where we were placed, only to find growing mushrooms and damp under the bunk bed- yup never seen anything like it but the truth.. Clearly this lodge was not deep cleaned for a while. This has not only caused us unnecessary stress and inconvenience but alot of our food was wasted as we couldn't use it. There was no welcome pack for any of the lodges on how to operate the appliances such as you cannot load the freezers up- you think it’s a freezer and it does its job like a normal freeze. (as this was instructed by the staff) I wouldn’t book there, and if you do, inspect the Lodges properly before you start unpacking and buying loads of freezer stuff. Take loads off cleaning products as you will have to do a deep clean yourself.

Very clean modern site, our static caravan was indulgent luxury which was true - plush furnishings and modern amenities, even a washing machine and Bluetooth speaker system. The site was very quiet, perhaps because it was still term time. For the kids there is a decent playground and splash zone when it gets hot outside. We didn't try the restaurant but it looks nice and you get vouchers to use inside. Being primarily a golf course, there's little else you can do, there's a footpath near the fields you can walk on although it'll be good if there was more or around the site rather then having to walk on the field and follow the mowed grass and then getting lost as you're just going round in circles!?

We booked an indulgent caravan for a family stay, 2 adults, and 4 children (10 to 15). The caravan was in excellent condition, I think it would be new this season. It had all the home comforts you could need, with great quality fittings. There was a minor issue with the accomodation on arrival, this was fixed within 30mins of reporting!! Excellent. All staff were very helpful and pleasant. The site is smaller than other places, largely based around the golf course. The bar / restaurant closes at 9pm and only has entertainment at a weekend. The grounds are very well maintained.

Brought my family here for the weekend as a Xmas present to look forward too, booked a large lodge with hot tub, it was a perfect place to relax, the lodge was home from home, and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. amazed the hot tub was checked twice a day, never been anywhere where it’s check so often. Facilities were enough to keep everyone happy, Have rebooked for another weekend. That wasn’t so smooth but got there in the end, Well recommended to anyone that needs a break away. The only thing I would say is if the lodge holds 10 people, one frying pan and one large saucepan and one small glass dish isn’t enough, (these points I did feedback on check out)

Came last weekend for a friend's birthday weekend. We stayed in Kingfisher way with hottub. The lodge was lovely nice and clean so comfy. Luke who came twice a day to check the hot tub was great so helpful. Will definitely be back again. Brilliant stay :)
