Using a well-known booking site, I had booked a 'king room with balcony' at this establishment. I arrived after a strenuous day of travel, hoping to flop onto my bed after having a cigarette on the balcony. I was shown to a FAMILY room (on the 4th floor without elevator) WITHOUT balcony. When I complained, the owner/manager told me that there were no rooms with balcony available. This is a well-known scam in Vietnam. Promise a nice room and when they exhausted travelers arrive, they will put up with a crappy room. This needs to stop. Moreover, the owner then reported me to the well-known booking site as a 'No-Show', thus saving herself the commission and robbing me of the opportunity to write a salted review on said well-known booking site. Appalling business practices at Sunny Guest House..... book at your own risk

Sunny Guest house is spotlessly clean and in a perfect position. It’s very quiet for sleeping despite being very central as it’s down an alleyway. The air conditioning is very efficient and the shower hot. We were helped with organising bus tickets even for our future plans - above and beyond assistance. We would stay here any time when we returned to Ho Chi Minh City. Thankyou everyone at Sunny Guesthouse

Comfortable, clean and well located. Very helpful and kind staff. -Hot water and good water pressure -Strong air conditioning -Fast WiFi -Great location -Helpfull staff with local knowledge for all types of enquiries -Sell SIM cards and help book busses -FREE COFFEE! -Laundry service 30,000 pero kilo

As a travel business owner and having stayed in everything from hostels to the best 5 stars in the world, across 130 countries, I was impressed with this place. It's basic, which is to be expected given the price, but the staff are super friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable and I would easily stay here again. :)

Very good room for the price. Great service.
Towels and sheests have seen their best days (stains) allthough they were washed. The curtain didn't block the light in the morning.
Noise from the street not too bad. Noise from the hallway disturbed more easily.

The Sunny Guest House is great value for money. The staff were excellent and so helpful. The location is right in the middle of all the action only a 100 mtrs from Walking Street and about 300 mtrs from the underground Central Markets. The room was surprisingly quiet considering it was so close to everything and included a good bathroom with shower, fridge, TV, WiFi and plenty of space in the room.

We returned to this place because of the service, first and foremost, and because of the location. It’s just a few meters away from the party scene, but far enough down the alley that you don’t hear it at night.
I absentmindedly left my travel journal in a tour van. Queen, a guesthouse staff member, went above and beyond to arrange a delivery driver to bring it back to me. Her exceptional kindness is what brought us back to this guesthouse in the first place. If the world had more of her, it would be a better place.
