All good, nice room, clean, good location!

Great Value for Money Accomodation, with superb pub food. Great evening meals and excellent Sunday lunches. The staff are all wonderful! The atmosphere in the pub is always very friendly, we hope to return on many occasions. A big thank you to all the staff.

It is clear that the meals were precooked and just heated up or kept warm due to the taste and texture of food. Requested changes due to food intolerances but was served the wrong thing so had to send one meal back. A couple of glasses had lipstick on. I had high hopes for this place, but felt let down.

Came for Sunday lunch, we all had the roast beef. Judging by the speed the meals came they were obviously pre-prepared and kept warm. Beef was dry and tough, roast potatoes rock hard, Yorkshires like cardboard, gravy congealed, and vegetables wet and soggy. No way was this cooked fresh! Would have expected better considering the price. Won’t be returning!

The downstairs pub was really nice and nice food and great staff, but the room was a different matter, bedding was clean but the rest of the room was dirty. I get it’s old, but no excuse for cleanliness dust around edges of carpets carpets were minging. Sink a bathroom were a mess. I wanted to approach someone on check out but there was nobody around. The place needs a good clean and a good update

It was a very disappointing meal with the family, first of all we were served drinks in dirty glasses one with lipstick marks, I will say the lady at the bar was apologetic and changed them, we then ordered food, three of us ordered from the specials menu a curry, two were fine but mine had literally 2 pieces of chicken in it was more of a curry soup, a lady walked by and asked if all was ok but didn't stay for an answer, at the end the lady who bought out are meals collected plates and she could see I hardly ate anything as it was just sauce, I told her I had two bits chicken and the response i got was unbelievable, she said yeah the curry was popular and we only had enough for two but as you ordered three we had to try and give you what's left that's why you didn't get much, she then took away the plates and that was that, no apology no offer of something else, if I hadn't nicked a few chips off someone else I would've left starving. £142 it's came to and no apology very disappointing as I hadn't seen my family for ages and this was a meal out, last time I will be going there.
