Five stars all day long, Staff were fantastic, Room was fantastic, Food and drink was Fantastic. Definitely worth booking you won't be dissapointed. Large car park and disability friendly. Close to beach and attractions. Morecambe and Lancaster just a short bus ride away

Wonderful accommodations, very clean rooms and welcoming staff. We had a terrific evening meal and the beer garden was an enjoyable place for lunch or drinks. We would highly recommend The Royal to anyone visiting this area. Very friendly.

This is one of the best inn experiences I have had. Everything about this place is charming. The photos on their webpages are accurate depictions. Half the building is a "pub" with absolutely delicious restaurant and quaint bar. The other half features the rooms, which were spacious and attractively decorated. The tea, coffee and cocoa presentation in the room was adorable. The bed was very comfortable. The neighborhood is historic and quaint, and very close to a walking path on the beach as well as a community garden and churchyard. 5 minute walk to the bus stop and 25 minute walk to the port. Near a public park where we watched a Sunday cricket game. The staff were very cordial and professional; I was temporarily stuck on the Isle of Man due to ferry logistics and the staff were easy to reach and respond by email to extend my stay an extra night. Overall, the value I received for a mere 160 pounds per night vastly exceeded my expectations.

Called here for Sunday lunch. Beef dinner. Food was tasty but beef had a lot of fat on the edge. The plate wasn't hot and the food wasn't as warm as it should have been. Atmosphere was pleasant but wouldn't recommend Sunday lunch. Shame really as a slight improvement would have made it perfect.

Characterful pub. Excellent quality room and en suite with White Stuff soaps, shampoo, moisturiser, etc. Very enjoyable food. Good wine list. Excellent cask ales. Log fire burning. Been before and will visit again. Keep up the great work!

Stayed with a group of friends and it couldn’t have been any better. Lauren and her team were professional and friendly throughout with the hotel benefiting from substantial recent investment. Outstanding quality beer, good food and comfortable dining area (special shout out to our waitress Sarah also…..) Rooms were terrific and fairly priced. Honestly, couldn’t fault it….. (& a great location as well!)

Comfy beautiful room in a period Inn. Family connections brought us here and will stay again. Nearby is St Peter's Church and well known stone graves on the headland. (bonus) Lovely breakfast (excellent porridge) in an old oak beamed room with impressive range fireplace adds to the character of the stay. Range of Thwaites ales and good bar meals in the popular pub downstairs and plenty of parking!

We’ve stayed at The Royal a few times and it is always a lovely stay. The room itself was very clean and comfortable with drinks making facilities. It is a nice touch that they give you a little flask of milk to take up with you when you check in. The bed is comfortable and certainly our room was super quiet. There is plenty of parking in the pub car park. Breakfast was great. Lots of options and friendly service. The pub itself if also really good. We had a nice Sunday lunch there and the beer was well kept with a good range.
