The Hever Castle B & B was clean and warm but the furniture is very old with a creaking small wardrobe and an old desk and old side cupboards in my room!. I stayed in the Snowdrop double deluxe room, the bedding & seats had outdated covers & looked a bit like an old nursing home room. There are no lifts and several stairs to my room and I had the view of a car park and tiled room from my old windows. The Bathroom was clean, the bath is slippery and although there were Molten Brown products, there was a note stating to leave the products for future guests or there will be a charge! A bit cheap and stingy considering I paid £185 for a night and there aren’t local nearby shops. The Bar drinks are overpriced and the Moat Restaurant/other cafes within the Hever Castle grounds close early around 4pm, serving bland food. I went to the King Henry 8th Pub which is near, but their kitchen was not refurbished and they only served 5 inch pizzas!! The ghost tour was fantastic though, with actors and great stories. The Hever Castle is only lit with some red lighting at night & nothing special. The tour ended at 9pm and the ground lights were turned off so people could not see the way back to their cars in the dark or see the signs, someone should have led the visitors back to the car park or the Hever Castle B & B. The maze was also closed from the 30.11.24 which visitors should be informed about on the internet or prior to arrival, or either get a discount on the entrance fee! Breakfast at the B & B was cold.
