We had a lovely stay for three nights. As we had no car of our own it was great that the accommodation is near all the interesting places and the beautiful coastline. We were walking on the cliffpath till Dutchies and took the taxi home. All recommended by Dave. Annamarie and Dave are very friendly and assisting when needed. They serve a sublime breakfast!

Very beautiful accomodation, close to city center. Fabulous designed, safe car park. Breakfast is really nice, host friendly. All you need for a comfy stay is available. I would book this the next time again.

We had a lovely relaxing 2 Weeks at the Potting Shed. We stayed upstairs in the studio which gave us our own sun terrace. Dave and Annamarie were lovely hosts . Both were good cooks making a lovely English breakfast with excellent homemade granola, pancakes, cakes and marmalade. The guest house is In easy walking distance from to town and coastal path in a very safe area.

We spent 4 nights here and Annamarie and Dave were perfect hosts. Always on hand to recommend places to visit/ taxis etc. They serve a fabulous breafast too, cant wait to come back. Thankyou to you both, you made us feel so wlecome .

Brilliant place to stay! Pool and Braai are is great and the room was very clean and set up so nicely. Dave and Annamarie were always so helpful and kind. They also gave some good restaurant recommendations for our time. Potting Shed is excellent value for money and will be sure to come back.

A great stay. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Doreen with a delicious home made juice. Our room although fairly small was beautifully clean and well equipped. Breakfast was very good. A choice of a full English or pancakes, which were freshly made and plentiful. You’ll get a warm welcome and a great stay if you choose The Potting Shed next time you are in Hermanus.

I can’t praise this establishment highly enough. It was my first stop having arrived in South Africa that day and I stayed for a week. My room was clean and had all the facilities I needed but the stars of the show were the owners - Annamarie and Dave - who could not have done more to make us welcome. I had my birthday during my stay. My room was decorated and champagne brought to the pool area. Breakfasts were delicious, with freshly made bread and cakes available every morning. I’ve already booked my stay for next year.

This was the cheapest of our accommodation this holiday and you do get what you pay for. It was clean, the bed was comfy and the shower was good. Breakfast choice was a bit limited, but what we had was cooked well. We didn’t leave hungry. Doreen met us and did a parrotfashion description of the town, giving us a map. The rooms are small. There are 5 double rooms but only 2 sun beds, the rest are table and chairs. The guest lounge was too hot to sit in. There are some benches under a verandah which we used when it was raining. There is a fridge that guests can use and we did use this facility. Overall for its money it’s ok, but we have been spoilt in s a at other accommodations.

We had an excellent overnight stay at the Potting Shed. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful with suggestions about where to eat, our room was spacious and very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The guest house is situated on a quiet residential road about 17 minutes walk from the seafront, but we had no problem getting an Uber back after we had eaten. A very good option for a stay in Hermanus.
