It was a nice stay. We enjoyed the free Sauna offered by the hotel. Staff was very friendly too.

Cozy family owned hotel in the centrum of Hemsedal deserved by skibusses every 30 min towards the slopes (skicenter) , though not after 5-6 pm so if you want to stay longer at the apres-ski for ex and you don't have a car, you have to take a walk 2.3 km or by ski take the snowtrail towards the center.
Nice and helpful personnel. Comfortable room with nice mountain view. Some problems with a sound from the toilets, but they fixed it. I would have appreciated some cosmetics such as a sample of body lotion and a hairdryer in the room (you have to borrow it from the front desk). Good and variate breakfast served in a cozy hall. Nice spa. I recommend it.

Great lodging for our family of 4 with loft area for the kids to sleep. Nice breakfast with a mix of traditional American and European options. Nice common area with selection of board games. Highly recommend.

According to receptionist at check in and sign outside the breakfast room the breakfast was to start at 7:00. 7:40 the door to the breakfast room was still closed and locked. Several irritated guests were gathered outside and suddenly a hotel staff shows up and in a very rude way says that the breakfast opens at 8:00. We try to note that the sign says 7:00 but no, 8:00 it was according to the man. No staff in reception to help sorting out the situation. Very unprofessional behaviour by the staff. On top of this, the door to the hotel room was not possible to lock. The response from the reception on this problem was only that the hotel is old. However, electrical door locks couldn't be that old. We chose another hotel next time.
