Töölö Towers

Short but lovely stay. Basic but functional amenities. Short walk to the tram which connects you with the city center within 10 minutes. Supermarkets, restaurants and parks all around for a quick fix

For the price I paid, I would say that it is an overall OK experience. This was my second stay, the room was OK but small. The room was clean but the painting on the ceiling was starting for wear off. The closets had holes on the floor full of dust. You would wish that they do a little extra for your comfort but they don't. For example, there is no room cleaning and I stayed 5 nights. To get room cleaning, you must stay more than 7 days and that will be only once a week. It would be nice to have the cleaning done at least once for stay longer than 3 days or at least a tidy up of the room. Also during my stay I discovered that it is you as a customer who has to take out the trash from your room. Everything seems calculated, so it does not cost the hotel too much. Breakfast is fine but not exceptional. The staff overall is friendly but you should not come with extravagant requests. The location is 10 minutes from Kamppi, 15 minutes to Kauppatori, the tram stop is just nearby. The sauna on the top floor is really nice and there is an access to a nice terrace with a wonderful view. Hotels in Helsinki can be very expensive so I think that for a short stay it is still a decent option. I have been to better hotels in Helsinki but those were more expensive.

I will call it a 4 or 5 Star ⭐ hotel. What I liked most is that it is a very safe place, calm, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is also healthy and delicious. However, there were essential needs unavailable such as soaps, detergents, sanitizers, Clorox, dishwashers and moppers. Most residents don't expect that and so they face difficulties in the first days.

We have been staying with UniHome since 2017 and in a variety of different apartment configurations. All have been excellent. Most recently, we had a large one bedroom on the top floor, which had a nice little balcony, lots of windows and a good layout. all units we have stayed have been bright and cheerful and well equipped. The Reception and Sales staff are always responsive, helpful and friendly. It is a bonus to have both sauna and laundry facilities on site. We return to Töölö Towers because of all this reasons and also because we love the neighbourhood, proximity to the universities, walkability and abundant tram and bus options. We definitely feel it is our Helsinki Home.

I stayed at Töölö Towers in an academic exchange for a week in December 2023. I was housed in a standard studio and had an overall excellent experience. The room was modern, well-heated and had a great view on the city. Everything was functional. The breakfast was great. Sauna in the basement was also worthwhile without extra costs. Although, of course, the buildings are large and rather anonymous – you don't have to talk to anyone anywhere if you don't want to – the place is comfortable. I would recommend to anyone who wants a quiet and hassle-free stay in this wonderful city. Oh, by the way, the tram station is a short walk from Töölö Towers, it's just a few minute's ride into city centre proper.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, clean and simple rooms. Flexible booking and check-in. Good location with only 15 minute walk away from the center. All you need and more for a low budget accommodation. All in all, excellent price-quality ratio!
