I stayed at the Bronte Hotel for over a week with a group that I was traveling with. Firstly, the ground of the hotel are beautiful. It is like walking into a garden oasis with Sculptures and Koi ponds and birds everywhere. Roses and Bird of paradise abound. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean. The staff is amazing. There is nothing that they won't assist you with easily, and with a smile. Everybody made you feel welcome and appreciated. The food at the restaurant, was very good. Breakfast was always fresh and cooked to your tastes. There were cereals, hot oatmeal, eggs any way you want and fresh bakes pastries. fruit, etc. Coffee from a french press to your table. There was lunch and hot food snacks during the day, and dinner was more than good. The soups were homemade and delicious. If you do not want to go to a restaurant, you certainly will get a absolutely good meal at the hotel. They also have a bar.The wait staff is wonderful. this is just an excellent hotel for business, pleasure, bring the kids, they can run around the place safely hotel. the security is excellent and they always get you a safe taxi when needed. Feel safe and secure here and enjoy a truly wonderful stay in Harare at the Bronte.

We stayed for three nights at the Meikles. It was okay, if a little rundown. Throughout the stay, I kept all the receipts for meals, although every waiter protested. At the end, I went through my bill to verify the charges. I had been double-charged for dinner one night. Despite the fact that the hotel could not produce the additional receipt and could not explain why my husband and I needed two dinners, they refused to remove the charge. We ended up paying nearly $100 USD than we owed! Clearly the hotel is scamming its guests by adding charges and presuming that people will not check. Additionally, our room was fumigated without us being informed and we had to sleep with the windows open because of a terrible smell. Do not go to the Meikles! There are plenty of other hotels in Harare that offer better accommodation and a cheaper price and will not steal from their guests!!

I booked the executive double bed room online and upon arrival they told me I could not stay in that room for one night because someone else had booked that room. I refused and told them I can not take another room . i was then told to top up usd$15 because the online priced are apparently different from their original prices. I wanted to speak to the manager but the stuff made it clear that the maanger can not be seen. at a certain point I waited almost 2 hours at the reception trying to get hold of the manager. if you wanna stay at this guest house dont book online, rather go in person and see what you are paying for. the location is good but I was disappointed with their services. they also need proper tissues and towels in their rooms .

The view!! Oh my goodness!! The room was overlooking the pool and the city, with a really big window. It was the best. So many TV channels to choose from, unlike some places where they restrict the channels for you. It was amazing, the experience was great. I was only there for a night but it was the best. The breakfast - to die! So many options, I ate so much I was full the rest of the day, didn't eat anything else! Ow and while I was having breakfast, someone came to personally ask for my review and how my personal experience had been!
