I recently stayed at La Siesta Classic Hang Thung for one night, and honestly, it wasn't enough! Hotel Property: 1. The hotel's location is great. It's right in the middle of Hanoi's Old Quarter, so you can easily walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy the lively atmosphere. 2. What's cool is that the hotel is only two months old and it looks amazing. The rooms are a good size, and the modern design is Instagram-worthy. It's pretty impressive they even squeezed in a pool in the middle of the tight Old Quarter spaces. Service 1. We got to the hotel really early from Sapa, and our rooms weren't ready, but Mr. VP at the front desk was super nice. He went out of his way to arrange a shower for us. It was a real help to get us cleaned up from the long train ride. 2. I accidentally booked a room for 3 persons when there was only 2 of us. Mr.VP immediately noticed it and upgraded us to a junior suite without us knowing. That was a pleasant surprise and definitely made our day. The Not-So-Great Stuff: There were a couple of small issues that could have made the overall experience even better. 1. We asked for more water and ice around 9 pm, but they never brought it. Eventually, we went out and buy water, and reminded the front desk to send some ice to the room. But even after reminding the front desk personally, no ice came all night. 2. Food at breakfast was good, but the service could he better. When we wanted to sit by the window, the server insisted that we sit at another table. She rolled her eyes at me when I told her that we prefer to sit by the window. She then cleared our table quite unwillingly. She just changed the cutlery but did not replace the used placemats. We didn't bother her after that as she seemed annoyed. But despite these minor hiccups, I'd definitely recommend La Siesta Classic Hang Thung to anyone looking for a great stay in Hanoi. It's a lovely place with pretty and clean rooms and lovely front desk staff.

The staff was nice and attentive, but the service at the bar is very slow. The room was carefully designed into details but a bit small. Location is very central in the old quarter and walkable from many shops and restaurants. Despite it’s in the middle of the old town, the room was very quiet.

Jade Orental was our first stop in Hanoi after an 18 hour trip from the US. We were a group of 17 people. The General Manger Mr. Do and his staff welcomed us very well on arrival with a efficient check in process. The hotel is located in a great area (we were walking around after midnight and felt safe). Breakfast spread was excellent and food tasty with lots of variety, customer service was very good, rooms were well appointed and bed very comfortable. Felt at home and very welcomed. Would definitely go back there again. Thanks to everyone for making our stay there great.

Impressive entrance with a short walk to anything you might want/need in Hanoi. Check-in was a breeze when we arrived mid-afternoon. The lobby on Level 1 and restaurant on level 2 are opulent and well-served with competent and English fluent staff. The room I had was well presented, very clean and well-serviced. Great pillows!! Small, but functional bathroom with a great two-way shower. Money can be exchanged at reception at around market rate. The breakfast on level 2 has something for everyone. Vietnamese, western and excellent pastries. Fresh fruit and a great noodle bar. The wait staff and chefs are expert and can create pretty much anything on request. The room service menu is spartan but reasonably priced and well presented and delivered hot. Pasta, pizza, burgers and (of course) Pho. For those not familiar with Vietnamese coffee, fasten your seatbelt before trying. This beverage will wake the deepest sleeper in seconds. Concierge services are effective and non-intrusive. There is a mini-supermarket about 100 metres from the front door where you can find that razor you forgot amongst other necessities. This hotel is brilliantly located near the lake, which is a great location for a stroll. Within a five minute walk you can find pretty much anything that you can think of. There is a roof top bar and pool on level 10 and, to be honest, this was a little disappointing. The pool works, but the surrounds are a little tired and could do with an upgrade. Not a showstopper by any means. The lifts work, the electricity is 100% available and the wifi is fast and consistent. The laundry service is fast and reasonably priced. If you want to outsource laundry, there are several services available close by for USD$1.50 per kilo. My team of 3 stayed here for 12 days and very much enjoyed the facilities and hospitality. I would stay here again any day of the week!!

Good location! Hotel is located within walking distance to Old Quarter😊 Was served by Ms Yen and her team & their service was top-notch! Ms Yen showed us the two types of rooms available and let us choose after. She also shared about the tours to Ninh Binh & Ha Long Bay and helped us book them respectively. It saved me so much of time and money, if I had book from another vendor. Their breakfast spread is beautiful and filling. Their chef and team are very eager in helping us out with our bags to helping us pack our breakfast when we had to head out as early as 6:30am. Ms Yen was always contactable via WhatsApp and was one of the reasons I got to try really tasty Cha Ca Thang Long as well! I’m glad to have chosen this hotel and will highly recommend it to anyone who is planning on visiting Hanoi!

Very convenient location. Quite new and clean for the price. There's also a travel agency right in the hotel if you want to book tours. There's no breakfast even if you want to pay. It would have been convenient if they provided it. Though the lady explained why it wasn't provided anymore. Due to covid, people switched job from the industry, which does make sense.

The hotel in the old town of Hanoi is hard to find a taxi driver because it is almost a small intersection. This hotel also took time to find without exception. The staff was friendly and we were able to spend a lot of time. The room was beautiful, so the satisfaction was high, but even if the drainage was bad and the shower was taken, the water accumulated at the foot. Breakfast was not a lot, but it was a good and delicious meal with enough repertoire. Overall, I think it is a good hotel. If you go to Hanoi next time, I will use it.

We moved to the Sunline Hotel in Hanoi after spending a couple of nights up the road. Very happy with the change, extremely reasonable with the price and a great positionin the Old Quarter. Be aware that unless you pay top $$, the rooms in Hanoi are not big, so be prepared for that, but it shouldn't matter; we were hardly in the room. Great to get a room high up as there are some great views to be had of the lake and surrounding areas. The staff were extremely friendly and able to help with any questions. The hotel also held our luggage while we did trips to Ninh Binh and Sapa. Taking one star off because we found the breakfast to be quite poor. Whilst included, we only ate there once as it always looked tired and needed refreshing. However, I wouldn't make that a reason not to stay there.

Stayed 3 nights and it was a nice stay. The service was incredibly attentive including Tracy and all the other staff which took the time to make sure we had everything we needed from directions to places to eat. Bed was soft and room clean. Location wise it’s very central near restaurants, bars and the lake but not too busy it’s frustrating. Be sure to check out the weekend night activities around the lake because there is so much community activities with people having a great time from line dancing, kpop dancing, skipping traditional games and more.

In particular, the beef pho was better than that of the famous restaurant outside, and the Vietnamese iced coffee every morning was as delicious as the café outside, and I was very satisfied. Also, on the last day of the trip, my flight to Japan was late at night, but they let me use the shower even after checking out, which was very helpful. All the hotel staff were very nice (because I had to get on the plane sweating as it was), but Jenny and M were especially helpful. Thanks for the great experience!

We were travelling with a young child & this was our first hotel in Vietnam. It was a wonderful introduction to Hanoi & in larger part to Vietnam. Got in early in the morning and just looking for a place to book quickly. Owner was ”nice” enough to let me come in at 6:15 am. Upon entering my room, bed was hard, uncomfortable, air condition poor. I used the bathroom and quickly found a different hotel close by. Initially owner wanted to charge 500,000 vnd each night (outrageous considering the terrible room) but I talked him down to 400,000 vnd which was still too much for the ”quality”. I was in the room for maybe 15 minutes before finding another place and walked down to tell him I changed my mind. He seemed angry and said, I need to check the room. Ok, that's standard. Then he came back and said I owed him $5 (100,000 vnd) for using the toilet and sitting on the bed (the room has no chairs to use). I told him I'd give him 5,000vnd but even that was unreasonable. He said i was there for 30 minutes but I definitely was NOT. 15 at MOST. His justification was I sat on the bed. Unbelievable, where else was I going to sit? I didn't even mess up the sheets! We argued for about 5minutes eventually yelling at each other and he told me f@$# you, you're a dog. I slammed the 100,000 vnd on the table and he slammed my passport and curses were exchanged. This business needs to be shut down for poor practices, terrible service, and awful accommodation. Don't waste your money or time. You'll likely get hustled by this awful disrespectful man. Rooms not worth the price and nothing is worth the treatment I received.

Booked and paid in advance via 3rd party site. When I got there was told there was a problem and would be moved to another property of same owner. Reason given was too many people which I understood as overbooking. Brought to another hotel 100m away, the Hanoian Lakeside Hotel. I booked a room with a window specifically because I wanted a room with natural light. What I got was a room without any windows. My booking also included breakfast but there was none of that in the new place. Now the new room was okay apart from street noise during the day as Cau Go street was quite a busy road but what I dislike the most is how this type of treatment happens. I can understand if I didn't prepay as I arrived late. I didn't bother arguing as I was tired from the long trip. Upon check out, I requested late check out at 2pm but was only given until 1 pm. Inconvenienced, got sold something I didn't receive and no small consideration to mitigate. Will I come back? Definitely not. I wouldn't want to be treated in the same way.
