Capella Hanoi

Hồ Hoàn Kiếm Area Hanoi|0.21km de Hanoi Opera House
There are a total of forty-seven hotel rooms. Designer Bill Bensley has integrated opera elements into every detail of the hotel. The corner of the performance area on the first floor separates the open bar from the stage, and the backstage is an all-day restaurant. The dazzling grid ceiling and opera stage scenery, rehearsal stage, dressing room, retro dresses, and dozens of old objects from the French colonial period are all available. Each floor has its own theme of artists, designers, musicians, etc., and even each room has masters of corresponding themes and dramatic scenes of different styles. Overall, it is a medium-sized hotel. It is stunning at first glance. The service details are in line with the price. The selection of spare parts is also in large bottles, which is quite satisfactory. The non-alcoholic mini bar is free and refilled every day. The living room has free afternoon tea, free wine of all kinds in the evening, and all-inclusive snacks. It is worth it from a cost-effective perspective. The surrounding area is an absolutely rich area with various luxury shops. There is a night-time ceremony in the evening. After turning down the bed, It comes with an eye mask and a small gift, and the data cable will be buckled with a leather buckle for you, and the small details are still full. Capella Hanoi's glorious Koki Japanese food on the B1 floor this year received 1 star. It has only 14 seats and offers a set similar to Omekase. The price is relatively expensive (basic evening set is 5,500,000/person and 8,500,000/person). Reservations can be made by email in advance on February 14 Dinner arrived at 6:30 and it was almost full. The menu is fixed and there are not many choices, but the products are very good. The basic set meal we chose, the first is two kinds of clam teppanyaki, the second is the sea shrimp teppanyaki with vanilla sauce, the third is the signature Yaeyama beef, the beef nose certification is really speechless, the fourth is 20 minutes to make Koki's signature garlic chicken fried rice, and the final dessert was eaten in the lounge next to it. It was a combination of matcha ice cream daifuku and Japanese hot donuts. In the end, we collected RMB 20 million for champagne and drinking water alone. Thanks to the Japanese uncle chef, he was really handsome. Breakfast at Capella Hanoi is the all-day dining restaurant Backstage next to the lobby bar on the first floor. The Backstage restaurant restores the elements of the opera house to the greatest extent, creating a transparent and gorgeous golden hall, decorated with opera costumes, the flowers are yellow phalaenopsis, and the menu is “Diva’s menu”. Breakfast at Capella never disappoints, almost all are a la carte, and the a la carte menu is simply dazzling. The first page is the Vietnamese specialty Pho, which was rated as the top three Pho food in Hanoi by our guide. There are other traditional delicacies such as baguette sandwiches. In terms of Western style, the breakfast includes fresh oysters imported from France and smoked salmon waffles, which are full of sincerity. The various eggs, especially the eggs Benedict, are superbly made, and the crepes and waffles are also delicious. The chef is well-known in Vietnam. Impressive entrance with a short walk to anything you might want/need in Hanoi. Check-in was a breeze when we arrived mid-afternoon. The lobby on Level 1 and restaurant on level 2 are opulent and well-served with competent and English fluent staff. The room I had was well presented, very clean and well-serviced. Great pillows!! Small, but functional bathroom with a great two-way shower. Money can be exchanged at reception at around market rate. The breakfast on level 2 has something for everyone. Vietnamese, western and excellent pastries. Fresh fruit and a great noodle bar. The wait staff and chefs are expert and can create pretty much anything on request. The room service menu is spartan but reasonably priced and well presented and delivered hot. Pasta, pizza, burgers and (of course) Pho. For those not familiar with Vietnamese coffee, fasten your seatbelt before trying. This beverage will wake the deepest sleeper in seconds. Concierge services are effective and non-intrusive. There is a mini-supermarket about 100 metres from the front door where you can find that razor you forgot amongst other necessities. This hotel is brilliantly located near the lake, which is a great location for a stroll. Within a five minute walk you can find pretty much anything that you can think of. There is a roof top bar and pool on level 10 and, to be honest, this was a little disappointing. The pool works, but the surrounds are a little tired and could do with an upgrade. Not a showstopper by any means. The lifts work, the electricity is 100% available and the wifi is fast and consistent. The laundry service is fast and reasonably priced. If you want to outsource laundry, there are several services available close by for USD$1.50 per kilo. My team of 3 stayed here for 12 days and very much enjoyed the facilities and hospitality. I would stay here again any day of the week!!

La Siesta Classic Hang Thung

Hồ Hoàn Kiếm Area Hanoi|0.92km de Hanoi Opera House
I recently stayed at La Siesta Classic Hang Thung for one night, and honestly, it wasn't enough! Hotel Property: 1. The hotel's location is great. It's right in the middle of Hanoi's Old Quarter, so you can easily walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy the lively atmosphere. 2. What's cool is that the hotel is only two months old and it looks amazing. The rooms are a good size, and the modern design is Instagram-worthy. It's pretty impressive they even squeezed in a pool in the middle of the tight Old Quarter spaces. Service 1. We got to the hotel really early from Sapa, and our rooms weren't ready, but Mr. VP at the front desk was super nice. He went out of his way to arrange a shower for us. It was a real help to get us cleaned up from the long train ride. 2. I accidentally booked a room for 3 persons when there was only 2 of us. Mr.VP immediately noticed it and upgraded us to a junior suite without us knowing. That was a pleasant surprise and definitely made our day. The Not-So-Great Stuff: There were a couple of small issues that could have made the overall experience even better. 1. We asked for more water and ice around 9 pm, but they never brought it. Eventually, we went out and buy water, and reminded the front desk to send some ice to the room. But even after reminding the front desk personally, no ice came all night. 2. Food at breakfast was good, but the service could he better. When we wanted to sit by the window, the server insisted that we sit at another table. She rolled her eyes at me when I told her that we prefer to sit by the window. She then cleared our table quite unwillingly. She just changed the cutlery but did not replace the used placemats. We didn't bother her after that as she seemed annoyed. But despite these minor hiccups, I'd definitely recommend La Siesta Classic Hang Thung to anyone looking for a great stay in Hanoi. It's a lovely place with pretty and clean rooms and lovely front desk staff.

Zephyr Suites Boutique Hotel

Zephyr Suites Boutique Hotel

Hồ Hoàn Kiếm Area Hanoi|0.67km de Hanoi Opera House
We spent 4 nights at the Zephyr Suites and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there for a number of reasons. We were given a free upgrade to a lovely spacious room on the 7th floor with large windows looking out onto the street and the lake. The bathroom had a wonderful shower stall and excellent facilities. The room was large, beautifully furnished and had an excellent writing desk with adequate outlets for all our devices. The WiFi in the room was excellent- fast and efficient. The beds were super comfortable with wonderful pillows and duvet- they made going to bed a real pleasure. The air-con was super efficient and cooled the room beautifully in a few minutes. My only negative about the room would be the lack of storage space for clothes- virtually no drawers and very limited hanging space and hangers- it made life for two people a bit difficult as it was impossible to unpack and put our clothes anywhere in the storage area. Whoever designed this storage space really needs to travel more and see what travellers need when they unpack. We were very impressed with the buffet breakfast at the Zephyr. There was a very good selection of different sorts of dishes and we particularly enjoyed the egg dishes prepared at the egg station. What impressed me most was the selection of breads available. I had what was possibly the best baguette I have ever eaten in Asia at the Zephyr, and the bread rolls, croissants, pains au chocolat and danish pastries were delicious. So well done Zephyr on your selection of breads and baked goods! The only other thing that would improve the breakfast would be a coffee machine where guests could get their own coffee/lattes/cappuccinos rather than the usual coffee and tea pots that sit out where the drinks are inevitably cold. The staff at the hotel were good on the whole. There were two delightful young ladies at the reception desk who were particularly friendly and helpful but unfortunately I did not get their names as the name badges they wear are so small it's impossible to see what is written on them. The men at the front desk were not nearly as friendly or as helpful as the ladies, and the hotel might consider giving the gentlemen a course in learning how to smile and be pleasant to guests. You would think that people who go into the hospitality industry would have open, friendly personalities and like the interaction with guests, but the men working at Zephyr didn't seem to have these qualities. A smile goes a long way! The transport we arranged from the hotel was excellent. We had two drivers and they were both good, in particular the young man who picked us up and dropped us at the airport during our stay. On our last overnight at the Zephyr Suites, we asked for a wake-up call at 4 a.m. as we needed to leave the hotel by 5 o'clock. Unfortunately the young man who was on duty obviously forgot and we got the call at 4.45 a.m. We had asked the front desk if we could have a packed breakfast to take

I was here with my family for about a week, we were sceptical at first as this is a new establishment. But the moment we arrived at their lobby the staffs proved that we have made a worthy decision. Especially Anne from management, she was very welcoming and informative which helped start a great beginning to our holiday in Hanoi. Rooms are absolutely clean and well organised. Furthermore internet connection was impressive, fast and smooth, only mentioning this as it has been quite a problem with our stay at many hotels in the past. This place is located right in the center of everything, walking distance to Old Quarter, Ho Guom lake, eating streets, markets, etc. Heaps more positive things about this hotel that you should come and experience for yourself. Definitely will be staying here again the next time I’m in Hanoi. Thank you Grand Cititel team for looking after us!

The service and hotel was wonderful. The hotel staff went out of the way to ensure we got the best service, especially the guy name Huyen at the concierge. It was my birthday and they surprised me with a cake which was very nice. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. Although it is costly per night, their service is worth every cent spent.
