My stay at Taha Tai was an absolute dream. From the moment I made my reservation, through arrival and my departure the people were kind, extremely accommodating and helpful and the environment could not have been nicer. I think it’s noteworthy that I had also previously stayed at the Nayara Hangaroa, so I have a (highly rated) point of comparison , and I was still 100% in love with the stay and honestly did not want to leave. I write this review while still sitting in the hotel preparing for checkout. Here’s why this hotel really shines: Charming location which is both off the beaten path and ocean front at the same time. An inviting, warm, professional and high quality experience. There are two sections to the hotel cabanas and hotel rooms. The cabanas line a cozy garden path, tastefully adorned with beautiful flowers and natural landscaping. The path leads down to the restaurant which is oceanfront. There are small touches along the walkways in the property that represent Rapa Nui. The rooms (which are where I stayed) are nicely sized, clean, fresh, and have a very Polynesian feel to them. The vibe matches the rest of the hotel and is even portrayed in the music that is played in the restaurant, and possibly in the lobby, although it would be so natural feeling you hardly notice. This relaxed feeling surrounds you from the moment you arrive and truly makes the stay special. Many places that are reviewed for Rapa Nui complain about the sounds of the roosters. Although there are a few roosters around the property, I did not hear any of the cacophony of the rooster morning cries / symphony or whatever you might call that experience. I am so grateful for this and I wanted to point this out because in. The past when I read about the rooster noises, I thought people were being a bit harsh, but after walking around this morning and hearing the sounds that carry from the center of the island and town, I can say, you’ll have a relatively peaceful experience here. This is a place of relaxation and it just envelops you.

The hotel of choice for our Globus tour, the rooms were comfortable and spacious. Wifi available in all the rooms with plenty of outlets. A safe for securing valuables, a closet with nice hanging room, bathroom that had plenty of hot water and a air conditioning unit to either cool or heat the room. The Staff was friendly and there is a restaurant associated with the hotel offering a breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner.

A wonderful boutique style hotel with great amenities. Right on the coast and within very easy walking distance to the centre of town for bars,restaurants and shops. Rooms did exactly what was needed and the balcony very nice to enjoy the surroundings. Great breakfast and also the restaurant with views of the sea very pleasurable. Thanks for a great stay.

Brilliant hotel. Friendly staff, amazing food and perfect location near to Hanga Ria, the airport and the sea turtles. Drinking water always available and room was immaculately clean. There is a supermarket round the corner and Moai statues within a 15 minute walk
