Super 8 by Wyndham Hampshire IL

Rooms are disgusting. I have a pretty low standard when it comes to hotels and I went and got a different hotel that night. I felt itchy just stepping in the room.

Damage walls, found two baby roaches crawling on table and hair in tub and on bed from other people

The hotel was outdated, unclean. In the room - 207; there was holes in the one bed cover. Stains on the sheets, pillowcases, towels and shower curtain. There was a dried dirty washcloth on the shower rail, a dry moldy used coffee sachet in the filter in the coffee pot and the coffee pot itself was not washed out. The heater had 2 settings 84 degrees or cold fan.

Our entire family stayed for a funeral in the area and rented seven rooms. The property needs some serious updating and has significant cleanliness issues. I have over 20 years of experience in facilities management and it’s very evident this property is being operated on a shoestring budget.

Room that I booked wasn't available and I was asked to pay extra for the transfer

The room definitely needs and update and some cleaning. There was also a couple bugs crawling around.

Stayed overnight while traveling. Asked if they took veterans or AARP. They said, No. Later in room I found that it was a discount they honored. Went back to desk to ask for the discount. (20% would be $21.00) Man argued then handed me $10. Very little for breakfast, Room was filthy. I sent review to Company. Owner called me next day and says bad staff but declined to make up the military discount. Unresolved. While in lobby another came to desk to complain about dirty room.

Good location for what I needed to do. Not pool or fitness center though.

Toilet not clean. Regular bathroom no soap. Breakfast area limited and messy.
