Knights Inn Cobourg

The property was very comfortable. For the price it was great. I didn’t like that they made us pay $25 early entry into the room for 2 hours and nobody was even in the room. The maintenance man was excellent

It’s a great old Inn to stay at, the wifi didn’t reach to my room and I had to call no less than a dozen times before someone picked up because they hadn’t returned my damage deposit in over a week

Very clean and reasonable for the price paid. Staff great and very welcoming and helpful. Back windows weren't locked and latches not functioning properly so were very difficult to lock - I eventually managed it. TV system was complicated to work and there were no in-room instructions so we had to bother the staff. Heater fan was very loud. Wifi didn't work in the morning. But overall, we got what we paid for so no real complaints.

The beds were cozy the room was clean I had no idea the motel was so isolated nothing around usually when I book with ******* has always been great areas also the room had an strange smell maybe some product they use to clean I will not stay here again I think way over priced and they hold a security deposit they release but takes 6 days for my bank to release the funds back to my account 250 have never had this before

Room is good, it has 2 tables that can put things on. Property provides electric kettle, it's good for us.

Room was lovely and seemed freshly painted and renovated, much nicer than expected for the price. I booked using my mastercard and the clerk attempted to charge it at 4:30 (half an hour after the earliest check in time) it was declined due to a fraud watch after I made an international transaction. She called and I let her know that this was the case and I would give her an alternate credit card when I arrived at the property in about half an hour. She said she would cancel the booking unless I pulled over right then and provided it to her, when I arrived the property was not super busy. I found her to be very brusque and impatient overall, and every centimeter of the main office is coated in printed off warnings of what is not permitted. When I checked in and paid, the clerk alerted me that the jacuzzi tub water had a yellow colour to it but there was nothing wrong with the water, just the way it is, she was just telling me so she could be up front. I felt that if you were upfront you would let me know before payment and probably during booking, I counted at least 4 printed off signs that said no refunds no exceptions so its not like I could have cancelled at that point. For the record the yellow cast to the water was barely noticeable and not a concern. Overall the property is lovely but I thought the staff was unwelcoming, they probably just need a vacation themselves so they can get rid of some stress and remember how to treat their guests.

The place was nice and clean. Newly renovated rooms. No manager in the office to check in after work. Had to wait around for half hour.

Clean, quiet, comfortable bed. Coffee for the morning. Would stay again if I needed a bed for the night in the Coburg area.

This old motel is very well cared for and looks great. The rooms are large and clean, the decor is tasteful, the beds & couch are comfy. There's a fridge & microwave, coffee maker and even a kettle, with a table to eat at. There is lots of parking and its very easy to access from the 401, yet not noisy. The price is terrific value. The friendly front desk staff seems eager to help. Only 2 small items of note, but so insignificant; the office area seems a bit cluttered and our bathroom exhaust fan was quite dusty and the grate had dropped from its secure spot against the ceiling. Perhaps they could be looked at by housekeeping of maintenance. We had a great sleep & I'd stay here again.
