Basic, small sinle room but clean and comfortable. Excellent city location. Continental breakfast is served to the table. Choice is limited but then it is a very small hotel but it had everything to start the day. Staff super helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

This is not really a hotel, more like an old-fashioned boarding house or B&B. It's one of five similar establishments situated in an over 100 year old, bourgeois apartment complex. The hallways and breakfast room are stately and beautifully decorated, but the rooms are of a low standard. I had a single room, which was very small and poorly furnished. The bedside lamp was impossible to turn on, so they changed it with one that was broken. The bathroom was really tiny. The room was on the Moorwedenstrass seide of the building, overlooking a very busy street and train line (close to the Dammtor station), so quite noise from very early till very late. I only stayed there to be close to the Univeristy. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the breakfast harty.

When I booked this hotel and read the reviews, I was a little curious what to expect, until I realized that all the negative reviews are about the small rooms. Stayed in a deluxe double room and had nothing to complain. Sure, it’s an old building - but that contributes to its charm. Not a big fan of carpet on the floor, but I guess that comes with the charm if an old building. Breakfast is served at the table and is more than sufficient according to western european standards. So, don’t hesirate if your budget allows one of the bigger rooms.

Sehr freundliches Personal.
Sauberkeit gut.
Sehr gute Lage für Uni/Kongress und zur S-Bahn.
Preis vergleichsweise günstig.
Hellhörig!
Zimmertüren haben Spalte. Alles was am Gang passiert oder gesprochen wird, hört man und eben auch umgekehrt. Wer ein Zimmer auf der Etage der Rezeption/Frühstücksraum erwischt, gute Nacht.
Zimmerausstattung in die Jahre gekommen, etwas "verlebt".
Frühstück war ausreichend (aber kein Buffet sprich keine Auswahl!)
Ansonsten für kurze 1-2 Nächte absolut empfehlenswert, halt was für den schmaleren Geldbeutel.
