Perfection attempted and nearly completed! The staff is amazing, even for someone like myself who does not speak German, they were extremely polite and helpful with suggestions, translations and directions. Well done! One slight surprise was the bathroom, one of the towels had a stain on it and for a big guy like myself, 6 ft tall and 225lbs (182cm and 100kg) the shower was a little small. Other than that, the bedding superb, the amenities excellent, the lobby bar and lounge very inviting. I wish we could have stayed longer than two days. 10/10 recommend!

Really old and worn, and needs a general renovation. Rooms are very small, and a lot of noice from the street with passing cars.
A German/Swiss style with heavy wooden furniture etc. Good location with 10 minutes walk to the city center.
You can get much better hotels in Hamburg city center for the same price level.

Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean, no complaints. My only gripe is I found it strange that the soap they provide for both the shower and hands is the same, some sort of 5-in-1…

The room was very clean but small. Felt like I was in a closet but that is normal for a room in Germany The location was great. In the center of the city, 1/2 block from U1,2 and 3 subways which can get to just about any point in the city. Also, just a few blocks from the main shopping district in Hamburg, and plenty of restaurants to pick from Tip don't pay 22 E for breakfast when you can walk just 5 or 6 doors down and get a very nice breakfast for 6 or 7 Euros. Bottom line yes I would stay here again Hotel is very clean, safe, and in a perfect location to base your trip to Hamburg

The hotel had old world charm, especially the lobby/bar area with roaring fireplace and Christmas tree. The rooms were modern and comfortable . Location was excellent, very near Christmas markets. There was some construction going on near our room, but we were awake already when they started.

Friendly, slightly dated medium sized hotel. The staff were very respectful and helpful. Our room was ridiculously hot and we couldn't turn down the heating so had to keep opening the windows and letting in freezing cold air. It was like being cooked alive.
