Decided to visit Scotland again as we had such a good time last time 🥰 We decided to try somewhere new and had a lovely dinner at the Ulbster Arms, the service was great! We were served by Alisa who was amazing and really looked after us! Would visit again☺️☺️

A wonderful place to stay and explore Caithness. Clean, warm, well run plus lovely staff. Andrea and Liz in the breakfast room are terrific. Fonts of knowledge about the area and lovely company too. Jess, thanks for the great stay and the malt whisky. I loved my stay. See you next time.

Lovely clean and fresh room with a super comfy bed. Very peaceful. Make sure your'e ready to feast as the full Scottish breakfast was fully loaded with all the premium items you can think of. Great location, just outside Thurso. Super friendly service All round winner. Great job. We will be back for sure !

Took advantage of a child free night and treated ourselves to dinner! The food was amazing as always which was complimented by a great service from Karla! The menu has a good choice of meals to suit most but it would be nice to see some more gluten free options (especially for a non-fish eating person - not me 😊) So grateful to have the Ulbster on our doorstep.

My husband and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to find this cosy hotel in Halkirk upon our visit in Caithness last week. We went for dinner here on the Thursday night and were delighted to see such a fantastic menu, cosy fireplace and a generally nice ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed our food! The staff were so attentive and one of the waitresses, Terry, made sure our glasses were never empty - excellent service. Fantastic little place, Halkirk is lucky to have such a gem on its doorstep. We will 100% be back. Thank you to all staff.

We went to the Ulbster for our Christmas work night out. The food was excellent and we were very well looked after by our server Jess. We all had a very enjoyable night and meal and I would recommend the Ulbster to anyone looking for good food, service and a good atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal last night from the Christmas menu for our dad’s birthday and the service by Holly, Kate and Erin was very friendly and attentive. The beef was everyone’s favourite along with the seafood starter. 😊

What a beautiful christmas lunch we had today at the Ulbster Arms in Halkirk. Food was amazing and we were so cosy beside the fire. Our lovely waitress, Holly, was helpful, kind and very welcoming. A very festive feel in the whole hotel. Definitely worth a visit!

A wee gem, nestled in the Scottish Highlands, the Ulbster Arms was the perfect place to stay. The warm, friendly staff were most helpful and accommodating and were only too happy to help with providing the best stay. The food was exceptional, 5 star, far exceeding my expectations. The daily “Catch Of The Day” showcases some of the local areas freshest seafood and is great way to sample the freshest local produce. The Apple tart is to die for! The rooms were touch of class, providing the perfect luxurious way to relax after a days exploring! All in, a fantastic place to stay and would highly recommend!
