Extended Stay America Suites - Chicago - Gurnee

Whilst my water is being worked on at my house, Extended Stay America in Gurnee, IL has become my home away from home. It will be very difficult to have to leave as coffee is ready in the AM's and it is very comforting to know that there is always someone at the Front Desk for Security. Brian is the Manager and very mindful to make sure that all the Guests' needs are promptly met. His staff are very responsive. Kat and Irma always have a smile and Good Morning.

Love the place, long term or short term. Real quiet, real friendly. Really local to a bunch of different entertainment. Brian and his staff and are always on top of things. No need to worry if you’ll have something or not. Kitchen is nice, full size fridge, laundry, spacious rooms. I’d highly recommend a stay if just going out of town, or if the master bedroom is being remodeled for a week or two.

It's the hotel I always choose. The prices are great, the manager & staff are ALWAYS friendly & accommodating!!!! I told them ONCE that I had a favorite room & now whenever I stay there they always try to give it to me. It's honestly my fav hotel chain to stay at.

Customer service is great and very kind and respectful. It's like your own studio every room comes with a kitchen area and very clean. The stay was very comfortable and not far from all the stores, mall, and six flags

Overall I’d like to say that the staff there are very kind and helpful particularly Brian Pekala ,Destinee ,Loren and Lupe they always are great with making sure the rooms are clean and making sure I have new towels also I like the fact that they make sure people pick up there dog poop outside .I’m having a very present stay here I would highly recommend

We wanted to save money as this was the least expensive hotel in the area for the weekend and, it boy, you get what you paid for. Actually, I wish we paid even less, it should be more like $60 a night motel type. Everything is old. Bad quality - towels, sheets, ...actually there is not much else to even list here. Stupid towel exchange policy, I gotta bag the old ones and bring it downstairs in exchange for new ones, we were too tired to come back second time around. Now, carpets are plain sticky, with stains and super disappointed unupdated room furniture etc (Even tho the desk chair looked newer but again, dirty). I know that when the shampoo goes bad, it will be super thick and gooey and slow pouring, so I am glad we had our shampoo to use. Hope they check their shampoo inventory for dates. Although pleasant females in the front over the weekend , not the male at night.

I read some of these reviews and noticed that a lot of people are saying that this general manager Brian is such a great guy great customer service yes maybe so for your experiences but for mine it's totally the opposite he is very unprofessional he's very prejudice stereotyping and ****** I have it all on video and I felt violated humiliated ashamed of the situation that transpired and I am recommending upon this review that he should be terminated from his duties .. again like I said I have it on video his face in the video clear as day the whole conversation that we had he terminated my stay at the extended stay a week before my actual check out saying that I was smoking under The canopy at the main entrance but he clearly states in the video that he never observed that and that he would not even say who said it so pretty much it was he say she say I also have videos of other individuals of different ethnic group than mine smoking under the same canopy that he described that I was observed smoking at they were smoking there and I have it on video but those individuals are still guessed at the extended stay and yes they are Caucasians and I am African American mixed I feel totally hurt something has to take be done to this individual from the corporate level I am seeking legal actions and so forth and I am willing to share this video with any and everybody on every social media platform the media the public etc.

We travel for work and this is the second time we’ve stayed here (same room even)! When we learned that we were going to be in this hotel, we were so excited because our experience before was flawless. However, this trip was made better because of the staff. I cannot say enough about the hospitality, friendliness, accommodating and helpful. One person stood out the most and was one of the most pleasant people you could ever hope to do business with. Her name was Destinee. I would love to see this type of person used as a model for training. Her customer service excelled, and she was above and beyond World Class Service. Thank you again, Destinee and hopefully we can cross paths again!! Thanks Extended Stay for being our home away from home.

I’m giving this extended stay a 10 star because the young lady that works there name Destiny has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. She handles every guest concern that I’ve seen with the same quality and respect. Also goes above and beyond to help keep the place tidy. I recommend this location if great customer service and cleanliness matters to you.
